Hi I want to share a room with someone too, haven't been able to find anyone yet. Don't know if you have interest in sharing?? i did book Caesars but they rang me back and said because i was alone and under 21 i couldn't stay there any hotel will do fine for me, i just want someone to share with

 

By the way I'm thinking of staying there from 13th - 19th march.

I booked at caesars but they rang me up and said i had to cancel because i was only 19 and going alone!! sooo, i have been looking for hotels that will let you check in at 18. I'm thinking of the Hilton which is a little further than i wanted to go but with the monorail in the hotel going to imperial palace i don't mind. You can always share a room with me in the hilton if u want?

I'm sad to say that the Imperial Palace doesn't seem a good place to go. The hotel staff doesn't seem so serious.

 

That's what happened to some members of the Italian Section:

 

Jane stated clearly in this topic that the rates were per room up to 4 persons and that they wouldn't have charged you anything until departure.

 

Well, when Irinaxx83 called the hotel to place her reservation the receptionist said the rates were per room up to 2 persons, and that you have to pay 30$ extra for each extra person. Plus, they took money for the first night off of her credit card as deposit.

 

It doesn't look like what we call a warm "welcome".

 

I hope the members of the Italian Section will get a refound as soon as possible.

This is the update:

 

I spoke to the main group reservationist at Harrahs (where all central group bookings are done) regarding the amount of people in the room, she said this:

 

"I made the group booking for 4 people per room, but the Imperial Palace has overridden me and changed them to 2 people per room and said you have to pay $30 per extra person. It is perfectly fine if you want to book the room for 2 people, but have 4 people in the room, because they never check."

 

So here are your 3 options:

1. You can book you rooms for 3 or 4 people and pay the extra fees

2. You can make your reservations for 2 people per room and still have 3 or 4 people in the room

3. You can make the reservation through expedia.com where the prices are a little higher for the Deluxe room but no extra charge for extra people.

 

Cancellation policy:

When you make your reservation the first night will be charged immediately and the rest you pay on departure. You will be charged in full if you do not cancel at least 72 hours before the arrival date.

 

So everyone needs to make their own decisions basically.

Jane I'm sorry for everything that happened to you. I know it's not your fault, but the hotel's.

 

But if we reserve the room at the IP for more than 2 people (3 or 4 persons), telling them that er are just 2, the big problem is that they could give you a room with just one bed. I've asked a room with 2 queen beds (that's good for 3 or 4 persons), but they told me "we can't tell you now for sure what kind of room you will have...you will discover it on the arrival"! How weird is that?

I have to "correct" what yo've said They charge you even if you calcel 4 months before the arrivale date (and few hours after the booking)! How disappointing

I'm not surprised that people have been treated this way by the hotel, it doesn't seem like a very customer oriented hotel---just a cheap place for people to stay.

 

As for people treating people on this forum badly, there' s no excuse for that at all.

so am I understanding well that they won't refound the money?? that's really weard that's not a good job, I work in same field and this never happens in trustable hotels if cancellation policy is 72 hours prior arrival you should be able to get your refound within that time. I'm really really upset. my money

If you cancel your reservation now you will get your deposit back !!!!!

Im staying at the mandarin oriental which will allow 18 year olds and older to check in. It's a little pricey for 7 days but i just think if I'm doing vegas, I'm gonna do it with style.

It's so stupid. You're 19, you're an adult in your home country for over a year now, yet in the states you are underage. Pathetic. They need to get with the pogram and change that ridiculous under 21 nonsense in this day and age.

Thank you for your precious help, Jane. And for having finally made it clear.

 

But, please, consider that the Imperial staff hasn't been so correct to us, since they did nothing of what they promised you. They changed everything in the minute the Italian fans booked. That's not nice. And very unprofessional. I personally won't trust them, and I won't place my reservation there.

Might see you @ the colosseum. Im gonna book the hilton tomorrow morning, that seems the easiest hotel for me with the monorail direct from the hilton to the hotels on the strip. Are you going to any of the fan meetings or lunches?

So, did I make a mistake?

I just booked on the group reservation thing and guess what, if I had booked a two double beds room in the Capri tower of the hotel WITHOUT the group code, ti would've cost me only about 30$ (incl. tax) per night for two people compared to the 45$ per night (incl. tax) I just paid with a group "discount"! And there's not much difference between the rooms either except for the "interior design" and placement within the building, which really doesn't matter. So, because you guys said to inform you if we found anything cheaper so you could ask your contact to match the price, here it is.

I have seen those rooms and they are really dodgy.

I could have booked them for the group, but they are REALLY bad.

Not recommended at all.

 

I'm sure most people won't mind paying the extra $10 for a MUCH better room.

The hotel will tell you that they are pretty much the same, but they're not - that's just Vegas for you. They are behind the hotel and are much smaller with old linen.

As a matter of fact, even the deluxe rooms on the IP website are 5$ cheaper as for our reservation, which i find unsettling. The classic rooms, are with a greater difference. What I'm trying to say is that pretty much everything, including the same category rooms we have and the category above it are cheaper right now to book without the reservation as with it. But, OK, probably I'm being way to accurate, not to say stingy, and it doesn't really matter, but I wanted to tell you guys.

These are Deluxe rooms.

 

I only made the booking so people could be together in one hotel.

If anyone wants to make a reservation elsewhere and be separate from the group that's fine.

I've booked my room at Imperial Palace. I spent 20 minutes on the phone with the very kind lady.

 

The phonebill will be "fun"
