Celine Dion breaks down, 2005

Along with Kanye West's "George Bush doesn't care about black people" line, Celine Dion's emotionally frenzied appearance here stands out as one of the most memorable responses to Hurricane Katrina. Within the space of seven minutes, Dion cries, screams, launches into a stream-of-consciousness tirade about helicopters and the privilege of touching televisions, apologises for her fury and then bursts into an impromptu rendition of one of her songs. Incredible.

I found it great when she did that cry for help or whatever you wanna call it. I mean, she made her point, I think it made a few people think about how the american goverment was handling the situation. I agreed with her thoughout the whole thing. It just showed that her heart, priorities and values are in the right place. And I have to admit, the whole kayak idea was pretty good...

Merci Céline pour ces deux soirées inoubliables que j'ai passées à tes côtés. Je ne les oublierais jamais.

J't'adore Céline.

Merci.

Yeah, I thought it was great. She's a very passionate person and when she believes in something she does it with all her heart.

I wondered the same thing, so I posted the question under the Random Topics section (maybe that was the wrong place?). I doubt she would fly out to be in the studio before the babies are born, but maybe she'll do another interview via satellite with Larry. With Oprah, on the otherhand, Oprah might fly to Florida to do an in-home interview, and we might get some images of the inside of the new house, how she's preparing the babies' room, an interview, plus images of her pregnant with twins! It would be so much at one time! :whee: :whee: :whee:

Lady Gaga and Celine Dion rank high on the list, but another celeb's appearance tops theirs.

I was watching acess hollywood last night and they talked about Larry King's most memorable moments and I was very surprised to see that Céline's desperate cry for action after Katrina and the whole ''Take a kayak'' wasn't in there. That made me really happy! For once, I think the media moved on from that whole thing.

Yeah, CNN was going through the best moments of his show, and she was shown near the end. It's nice to see the media is including her. After all, he and Celine are pretty close.

I couldn't agree more with you two! I was expecting her to choke on her words while she sang, considering she was just screaming and crying! But she sang The Prayer, I think the best I've heard her sing that song (by herself) at least! Oh I love this interview, shows how wonderful she is! :in_love:
