Contains 2 tracks, Album Version and TV Track Edit (no lead vocals edit)

I'll get pics of my copy up later, these are actually more rare than the Immortality CD, I've only ever seen 2 of these, that one on ebay and mines.

I really can't see how a fan who's collected her CDs for years, decides to drop absolutely everything, including the albums (???) all of a sudden. I remember you said something about saving on a house, but come on, the albums too? Seriously?

It kinda looks like as if you've decided that you can't stand her all of a sudden.

Thank you Celine and thank you friends! I truly had the time of my life!

Ha ha... no serously there's no house although I am saving, and to be honest I'm just getting rid of it all... as you know most of it all sold last year, the posters, books, cassets, singles, the lot... I was going to hold onto the albums and the MHWGO singles, but I've decided to just let them all go... I've collected this stuff for 10 years, I think it's time to move on... I've other things in sight now, don't get me wrong I still like listening and seeing new things, even seeing other people sell and buy on ebay, but I have a few things that I know no one else has... so those I'll keep. They're more rare and valuable than any album... you know? Does that make sense?

No, not really. If you still liked listening to Celine, then you would get rid of the rare stuff and just hold on to the normal albums in order to be able to play them.

But, yeah, I know people whose musical tastes have cardinally changed and they just don't care for it all anymore.

I forgot to add, It's easy enough to also have all the tracks played now anyway with Ipods, Youtube, Last.fm etc, it's now very rare that I'd ever open a CD and play it. So I don't really NEED the actual CD's anymore

Oh, that's true too, if you can abstain from quality sound and just listen to mp3s.

I thought that the leit motif behind the true music collector was the passion he felt for the physical releases and the admiration for the different artworks/formats of each item?? Not for the cold "mp3" file today :ermm: Well, at least that's my case.

It was until he wised up to the music label that releases the same songs over and over again in different formats... you gotta be honest what's the point in buyin the same songs over and over again. I know an artist should be supported but Sony have released and re-released just to cash in on fans without any thought for rare or unreleased content that would actually justify a spend.

That's totally true, I can't disagree with you on that. The few singles we have today released can't be compared with the old days of glory of Céline, especially at the beggining of the 90's. But that's something we can't fight against  The market has changed dramatically, and neither Céline nor Sony ever cared about the "collector" side of this business. They knew Céline would sell the album, no matter what they did because all her albums until 2002 were especially oriented to adult and middle aged public :ermm: (despite including great uptempo songs from time to time).

Céline and Sony's attitude toward this have been the opposite to the Madonna market or even Lady Gaga today. Even today with the vinyl format in fashion again, Sony won't ever release another Céline album in vinyl  People is appreciating today the value of the "collectible" items, like vinyls, and record companies have realized this. But with Céline, this doesn't seem to change never -_- And Céline has enough power today in the music industry to decide these things, if she wants to give her fans a collection of singles from each album (no matter how much they sell or not), or if she wants to release her albums in vinyl format to make them more special. But she doesn't say a word about this, so Sony doesn't do a move either.

But we can't change that. You could still keep your collector items to remember that one day, she had great items released and a good selection of things to collect from each album! :thumbsup2:

Exactly! they've never really taken on board what the good decisions would be, they seemed to always take the cheapest route... and let's face it they can well afford it. The market has changed yes, but they really are to blame for a good amount of that too as they completely ignored the customers and pressed on.. they could have introduced measures, promotions, new ideas even to save CD sales, but they just did nothing really!

Your right, other artists definitly look after the collectors side of things, but come on Sony, her official merchandise is cheap and tacky and VERY expensive on her site, her news is always outdated and updated AFTER fans already know about the stuff, and the club tickets for concerts were TERRIBLE!

I like the way this topic is going - Im going to keep deviating haha....You cant really blame sony for the the complete decline in cd sales worldwide haha. The single is barely alive in physical form and i think ....really celines releases have been good seen as most people barely put out a physical release anymore - she still does them as recent as my love and they have got MUCH better with her album releases in terms of packaging and extras and posters, and box sets etc....basically they've ploughed all the money they would have spent on single releases in the 90s into albums that they know people will buy still.
