Why?? Because in Vegas you are seeing a show in a theatre - not a concert in a big arena. I don't think this new show will be any different. The audience on the AND DVD are very civilised and respectful, not spoiling it for others by taking pictures and jumping up and down screaming. It makes sense to have to have these rules in a smaller venue like the Colosseum where there's only 4000 people as opposed to 20,000+ in a concert. But it doesn't stop people from recording the concert. I look forward to hearing the bootlegs! I wonder if she will record new playbacks? I hope she doesn't use the TCWT DVD recordings as she'll have to re-record everything again for the new Vegas DVD, so things will looked dubbed again and we'll have no audience noise! It will be much better if she records everything before Vegas starts, then the DVD will contain the vocals that are actually featured in the show... Quote
Edwin Posted June 18, 2010 at 05:20 PM Posted June 18, 2010 at 05:20 PM It will be harder to capture photos, videos, audio recordings but not impossible. Personally, Im not even going to try unless they say photos are allowed. I doubt that though. For Cher, we got to sneak in a couple of pics from the 5th row Wouldnt dare to try again tho. Quote

Bralo20 Posted June 19, 2010 at 03:56 PM Posted June 19, 2010 at 03:56 PM AFAIK it will not be allowed to take pictures, make video or audiorecordings during the shows. This was also the case with the AND shows and this won't be different. Expect to be searched at the entrance, so if you are going to smuggle a camera inside be sure that it's a small one. Cell phones are also not allowed inside and will probably need to be stored before entering the show (you get a receipt and later you can collect it). However... At the premiere of the show there will be press attending the show also, so you can expect pictures after the show from official media. Quote ...

If there are hundreds of flashes going off during the show, the dancers and all on the stage could be at risk with the low lighting. It's a more "refined and classy" show than her tour concerts. idroveallnight Posted June 30, 2010 at 11:11 PM Posted June 30, 2010 at 11:11 PM (edited) Cameras will definitely not be allowed in. It's not just a trend with Celine's show but the same rule applied with Elton John, Bette Midler, and Cher's shows. And they will search you like a bomb-sniffing dog. I remember after being cleared by security at one of the shows I was just about to hand my ticket to one of the ushers to scan when all of a sudden one of the security guards ran right behind me, tapped my left coat pocket, and asked me what was inside. Luckily it was a handkerchief and I looked at him like a jerk for the manner he approached me. So proceed with extreme caution. I had planned to bring my voice recorder and pocket cam as well but when I heard they were kicking out people caught with any recording media I decided it was not worth it. On the 2nd to last night of AND, I have to say it was funny as hell when just about everyone pulled out their cameras and started taking pictures when Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were escorted in. So much for security. I guess they win some and lose some. Edited June 30, 2010 at 11:12 PM by idroveallnight Quote
maceta_biloxi Posted July 1, 2010 at 08:15 PM Posted July 1, 2010 at 08:15 PM I think small devices they won't recognize as media recorders, for example they won't take away your iphone or camera phone. The problem is if you try to sneak in a regular photo camera or a video camera. Flashes are a big no-no during the show, so if anyone tries to record the show do it without a flash, sound recorders as long as they are small you can always hide it in your cellphone case, and make sure is not 100% made of metal because it will turn on the detector. I means there are limits. You can even buy on of those sunglasses with video camera that they won't see it as a thread to the artist's security, in this case Celine. The show in the Colosseum isn't a "concert". It is more elegant and reserved...way different than the world tour where people are dancing, jumping up screaming and flashing pics right and left! You'll understand once you get there, and see what it's like...flash photography could be harmful to her and others involved in the show. There is only a slight possibilty that they would take your phone away and if they did then you would get it back right after the show. You get a ticket with a number and go collect it at the box office after.
