I think she'll peak within the top 10 in many countries the first week and fall of the second. Let's wait and watch.

According to Nielsen Soundscan, Celine's three new DVD releases debuted at the top three on the Music Video Chart in Canada. 'Celine Dion Through The Eyes of the World' entered at #1. Sales of this DVD achieved the second highest one week total for a music DVD, behind Celine's 2007 release, 'Live In Las Vegas'. The concert DVD/CD 'Tournée Mondiale Taking Chances : Le Spectacle' entered the chart at #2 followed by the English version, 'Taking Chances World Tour : The Concert' at #3. This is only the second time since 2004 that an artist has held the top three positions on the chart. Congratulations Celine!

I think the chart sucess so far is great. If you tally it all up, so far she has sold at least 120,000 copies, with many more charts to come out in the next few days.

 

With America and the uk added we could be looking at upwards of 170,000+. I bet the biggest album in the world doesnt sell that considering last weeks sold 170,000 copies

PS Madonna only sold 88,000 copies in her first week

I agree when you consider Madonna going in at number 17 (I know I keep going on lol), when she had a lot of tv advertising for the sticky and sweet tour cd/dvd.

 

Unfortunately we dont get a DVD mid week chart so we need to wait until sunday to see.

There is a UK advert promoting the cd/dvd, and has been showing in ''most regions'' of the Uk, particularly in the mornings, between GMTV advert breaks, This Morning, and I've also seen it on a few sky channels at night!

'Taking Chances World Tour: The Concert' is #29 on the Italian Album Chart. ('A New Day...Live In Las Vegas' [2004] peaked at #30).

 

'Through The Eyes Of The World' is #4 on the Italian Music DVD Chart. ('Live In Las Vegas' [2007] peaked at #6).

It would be better if the sales for the releases were combined, than the succes would be huge!

AND was a very big succes here in the dvd charts, but i think that TCWT will be in the cd charts...
