Celine Dion Live in Spain 1992

When Celine came to my country, Spain, for the first time, it was in 1992, to visit the Expo '92, in Sevilla. She performed Carmen & If you asked me to on the summer of that year; my grandparents were in the aducience during her performances, and they talk to me about it a lot of times, they don't know how lucky they were.

But there's one thing that less people know; Celine's visit to Spain didn't finish there; that same year, she came to Santiago de Compostela, Galicia (in Spain and near my house) to perform Beauty and the Beast in a TV Show (with playback). I just wanted to know if that performance is available somewhere in the net; I can't find it and I watched it about 1 month ago on TV.

Well, it was during a TV show called Noite de estrelas (which means "Night of stars" in English and "Noche de estrellas" in Spanish); she was wearing a short black dress.

No, the performance I'm talking about is not the one from that video, 'cause Peabo Bryson wasn't with Celine in the performance I talk about. The dress was similar to the one in the video, but not the same. Her make up was very similar to the performances at Arsenio Hall 1992.

I couldn't find any info about that performance in Internet

That's very interesting Celine Fan 77, we'll have to keep looking for more info about this . The idea of her having been in a new city of Spain other than Madrid and Sevilla its so exciting now

 

EDIT: I have found this info about the show at IMDB here, does these people in the show match with it?

 

The host is also someone called "Pemón Bouzas", should we try to contact him and ask him about this?

But it says 1989, and I don't know who was the host; anyway, it would be amazing to ask him if Celine went to his show in 1992 (I'm sure it was that year), eventough they didn't show the complete performance on TV 'cause it was a "zapping" TV Programme.

It doesn't matter, they show the beggining year of the production, it should have started in 1989 and in 1992 should be still in the TV But anyway are you sure she was in fact in the TV show for the taping? Or did they just showed a performance that could be from whatever other show she did in the foreign (like The Reason in TVE)?

Yes, I'm sure she was at the TV show because the zapping programme was done to remember the 25 years of the channel that showed it; when they showed Celine, there was "noite de estrelas" on top, so she was there.

She performed A Cause on Vivement Dimanche but was never showed to TV

 

This is the only thing i found from Spain from that period.. Was it the thing that your parents were?

Yes, along with the song Carmen, that's one of the performances my grandparents saw.

It was a lipped performance (playback), only Celine, there was no Peabo Bryson, no Terry Bradford, no man! only Peabo's voice accompaning Celine.
