LVCeline Posted May 10, 2010 at 11:00 PM Posted May 10, 2010 at 11:00 PM Yeah, this article sucks. It's totally cheeky and snyde. Like making fun of someone to their face but doing it in a way that they can't tell they are being made fun of. Don't get me wrong, I definitely thought it was funny and some of the comments people wrote had me laughing, but the article itself isn't very flattering Quote

Nmj Posted May 11, 2010 at 01:08 AM Posted May 11, 2010 at 01:08 AM They kinda made fun of her but they admitted her talent. For me the article wasn't that bad. Quote
Moee Posted May 11, 2010 at 03:31 AM Posted May 11, 2010 at 03:31 AM (edited) That's private, so we should be grateful that Celine has chosen to set a heavy-handed montage of all of those things to a video of her performing All By Myself for the film. True, she might pronounce the song's title as "Ah Bah Ma Shev", but that doesn't detract from the sheer emotion of the moment. Much. Of course, you'd expect nothing less from Celine Dion. The woman is a renegade. She works outside all perceived boundaries of rational thought. You want proof? Fine – find me another singer who can be found on the internet dancing like a chicken to an impromptu rendition of Who Let the Dogs Out. Edited May 11, 2010 at 03:34 AM by Moee Quote
dorfus Posted May 11, 2010 at 10:31 AM Posted May 11, 2010 at 10:31 AM They kinda made fun of her but they admitted her talent. For me the article wasn't that bad. Precisely. I mean, that's what I thought, too. I wouldn't really say it's negative feedback, and it's not the best either. But the point to the article was that, even though they might've been poking fun at Celine to a certain extent, it's evident that they DO find her talented, if you know what I mean. There might've been a sarcastic connotation "in between the lines" as someone pointed out, but really? I mean, family and friends of mine who absolutely detest Celine Dion and everything associated with her, still admit that she's gifted. And I think that's what this article is doing - that's what I like about it. It just says "I don't really like Celine Dion, but damn, she's actually good at what she does".
