A small earthquake hit south Texas Saturday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

According to the USGS, a 4.0 magnitude earthquake hit an area near Alice, 50 miles west of Corpus Christi.

No damage or injuries were reported, but numerous residents felt the quake, and apparently flooded the police and sheriff's department there with calls.

The last reported earthquake in Texas was a 3.8 magnitude quake in Jim Wells County in March of 1997.

Wow this is very interesting.. I didn't feel it since I live in Houston.. Still interesting though.
