You just need to put the .abr file (brush file) into the GIMP directory. It lives in C:\\Documents and Settings\YOUR FOLDER\gimp 2.4\brushes or something along those lines. You can't modify the brushes too much in GIMP. There is also a tutorial or instructions on putting and using Photoshop brushes in GIMP. I have copied most of my PS brushes into my GIMP folder and it works pretty well, though as I said you can't change the brush appearance, like you can in PS (orientation, scatter, shape dynamics, etc). You can change the spread of the brush and the size. Also, once you apply the brush, if you use a separate layer for it, you can use the layer transform tools to rotate them, change the appearance, etc. If you need more detailed instructions, PM me and when I get to my computer at work or home, I can tell you exactly where to put them.
