Eyes on me RECORDING MISTAKE

Hi guys, I wonder whether Celine did a mistake while recording the song Eyes On Me in 2 min 51 sec where she sings "gonna keep MY eyes on me".

Actually it should be "YOUR eyes on me" right?

What do you think about that?

i've heard her make mistakes before in recordings and was surprsied that the producers never picked it up.

here's one that she made that i've never seen any fan picked up either. in IACBTMN, it's a grammatical error that screams out to me but i'm surprised no one has ever noticed even after all thyese years lol

i adore the song surprise surprise.....on the line 'if i told you myself, couldve saved you the hell' is it just me (i hope not) but i sounds more like she is singing 'if i touched myself, could've saved you the hell' ?????????

 

Yeah I've always thought that too! And on Miles to go (before I sleep), sometimes I think it sounds like she sings 'Must go before I sleep' instead of 'Miles to go before I sleep'

At first I also thought that she sang the wrong lyrics, but later I realised that it is correct. But have you guys notice that Celine doesn't pronounce the word finally right in a couple of songs, or is it just me? To me it sounds like she says founally instead of finally. Talking about mistakes.

 

On Shadow Of Love there is a HUGE mistake, in this case of the songwriter(s).

 

'A moon eclips in the burning sun, making shades just for me'

 

A moon eclips happens only at night, when the earth casts a shadow on the moon.

 

The songwriter clearly didn't know what he was writing about and probably thought it was a brilliant line.

 

What he might have meant was a sun eclips, which happens during the day, when the moon blocks the sun, but the shadow it casts on the earth is quite big, therefore it would be very unlikely that only Celine would be in that shadow. Unless she is in a desolated area with no other human beings....

 

Ignoring the unlikeliness of that, the line should be:

 

'a sun eclips in the burning sun, making shades just for me'.

 

But then again a sun eclips always happens in a burning sun, so duh!

And lyrically 2x the word sun in 1 line doesn't sound, so it should have been:

 

'a sun eclips on a summer's day, making shades just for me'

 

Anyway, I forgive this songwriter, at least he didn't come up with the most horrible 'verse filler' of all time:

No I'm not drunk; the song is out-of-style. In the past, Celine used to vary the genre of songs she would sing like "Treat her like a Lady" or

"Make you Happy" songs that were on her previous LTAL and FIY albums. I like those two songs (Treat her like a lady not so much but I love Make you happy); however, EOM was only shouting all the way and plus, in this song she was talking about Rene that he should keep his eyes on her; well, Celine, your husband is 67 yrs old he passed the age of flirting with woman and being attracted by other women than her; so basically, the meaning of the song for Celine is pointless and the singing of the song was bad = which makes it a total failure.

in this verse she says WORST instead of WORSE . if you listen carefully you wil hear it very clearly. i guess she really thought it was worst and not worse because english is not her 1st language but i'm shocked the producers never picked it up at all.

i cant even understand one whole verse of that song. and i find it ironic that i cant understand the pronunciations because this was the one where Kara was making her do it over and over and over and over to get the pronunciations right. go figure

 

there is also an error on MHWGO at one point she actually says

There's also the famous "MY HOT DOGS will GO ON and ON". Actually, this is not a mistake it's just a rhyming issue; she has to say the lyrics in a that may sound weird but she has to do it either ways.

there's a difference in what something sounds like, (there are tons of songs like that from american rock singers) and actually saying an incorrect word or making a grammatically incorrect error.

Celine doesnt "shout" in EOM. its a great song especially live in concert and she sounds exquisite in it hitting some new high notes

I also loved everything in the TC era and Celine's voice was at its best (even better than the ANDHC era imo.)! As for EOM, to me this song is very nice and refreshing. I don't get why some people hate it.

I don't hate ALL the songs on TC album. it's not one of my favourites because it was RuShed and done so quickly and Celine picked songs on this album that are UNRELATED and does not fit together.

 

If I would take each song of the album, basically each song could have made a new album on its own.

 

My favourite songs on this album is TC, A world to believe in,A song for you, My love, surprise surprise and map to my heart. The other ones are IMO either un-fitting with Celine's style or Celine ROARING high notes instead of actually hitting them. Examples are Alone and a few other.

 

Plus, EOM is my least favourite because it's not Celine's style and as I said before it's a meaningless song for Celine herself and it's recording involved a lot of Roaring vocals which are really annoying.

 

IMO, Celine understood what she was known for [Hitting high notes] so she made this TC album based on that; meaning that most of the songs 98% of the album was made of high notes; she picked the songs where she can sing the most high notes EvEr made in an album; Plus most of those high notes were far from being hit GRACEFULLY.

I think this album has nothing memorable and IMO it cannot out-live its Era, meaning that in 5 yrs the album will go into the unkwon and only FANS of Celine would even know it ever existed. On the other hand, I happen to listen not regularly but often to her LTAL,FIY,ANDHC and OH albums.

Those albums were gr8! They are still recognized for being top-notche quality which is not the case of the TC album which was only good for the time it was recorded in.

I disagree, if you would read the title of the album TAKING CHANCES, she was trying some new songs, it's by far not her best album, I think Falling into you was one of her best, but still, she was simply 'taking chances'. So for her next album, they'll combine her powerful ballads and up-beat dancing songs from TC. She knows what she's doing
