Especial en PBS de Diane Warren

Celine participará en el especial "Diane Warren: Love Songs" el próximo 8 de junio en la cadena estadounidense PBS.

 

No está muy claro de qué forma participará, pero al menos la mencionan.

 

Cabe mencionar que Diane Warren es la autora de gran parte de los éxitos en inglés de Celine: BYLM, LCMM, etc

on June 8th will be a PBS Special, "Diane Warren: Love Songs," an 80-minute PBS special some of the musical legends who first recorded them, including Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, and LeAnn Rimes who will be joining the Due Voci voices of Kelly Levesque and Tyler Hamilton.

Me encanta esto, muchas gracias Jime por compartir la noticia... a ver si de una vez le cambian a sus éxitos como BYLM los arreglos de sonido, y nos sorprende con versiones nuevas. Aunque estoy tan cansado de escuchar esa canción, que creo que ni con versión renovada me gustaría oírla.

Hi folks!

 

I just got back from the dress rehearsals of the taping for the Diane Warren special at the Hollywood Palladium in Hollywood.........and drum roll.......Celine was not there However in the rehearsals we had to clap for the announcements for the artists appearing during the show...and they did mention........CELINE DION! In regards to BYLM....there was actually a performance of that song by a new group/project Diane was premiering named Due Voci....it was a duo (male and female) and they kinda looked like they stepped out of a soap opera...they were both beautiful, and the girl (Kelly Levesque http://duevoci.com ) looked exactly like Faith Hill with a very powerful voice. I think they are meshing Diane Warren covers with classical music al la IL DIVO (who did not perform during the dress rehearsal) They both sang BYLM, so I don't think Celine will be contributing that song. We did see Leann Rimes perform 'Can't Stop the Moonlight" and "HOw Will I Live" (SHE'S TINY!!!), Toni Braxton perform "Unbreak My Heart", "Spanish Guitar", Fantasia Barrino perform "Beautiful", Patty Austin (Jazz performer) perform "I Turn To You", and of course Due Voci, and some other performers (Saxophone medley and a guy from Indonesia). At the end though Gloria Estefan came out as well as Eric Benet for a group performance of "Rhythm of the Night".

 

After we left , there was going to be the real live audience performance at 7pm, so we don't know whether Celine might be in that performance...but she definitely was not at the dress rehearsal. BTW, the stage director named June 6th as the PBS date...not sure if I heard wrong.

Una compañera de la sección inglesa estuvo presente en los ensayos del programa y comenta que Céline no hizo acto de aparición, que en un momento determinado del espectáculo dijeron su nombre y el público tuvo que aplaudir, así que lo más seguro es que ella se limite a grabar simplemente un mensaje que se verá durante la grabación del programa.

Pues parece confirmarse que Céline solamente dejará grabado un mensaje para este especial. Me parece mal la verdad, ella debe mucho a esta mujer y debería al menos agradecérselo cantando en el progama.

Do you know who is responsible for the fantastic song "Because You Loved Me", from the hit album 'Falling Into You'? Diane Warren of course, the famed songwriter has penned song lyrics for some of the world's greatest performers. June 8, 2010 will mark the release of 'Due Voci' and the DVD 'Diane Warren: Love Songs'. On these releases, performers Kelly Levesque and Tyler Hamilton cover the all-time hits written by Warren. That same day, tune in to PBS as a special show where the Levesque-Hamilton duo joined by several talented singers such as Gloria Estefan and LeAnn Rimes is scheduled to air.
