Now I know Celine isn't the one stopping them from speaking to her, but how on earth could she hire someone like THIS?!

I'm genuinely shocked. I always see Celine as someone who's genuinely very pleasent, but this isn't too nice at all. Honestly,

this girl makes Madonna's manager Guy Oseary look like the second coming.

PS : I'm aware this isn't Celine's manager ;)

no but she covered the mic like that because the spanish lady called her'stupid'

maybe some spanish speaker can verify exactly what she said.

she grabbed one reporter by the arm and said ''you got 1 question, let's go!'' :o

she doesn't seem to handle stress well :whistling:

Céline doesn't have the time to talk to everyone. It's sad, but true.

"People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."

Is Celine fluent in Spanish? Is there someone there interpreting the questions for Celine from the Spanish speaking interviewer? Basically, why is she asking Celine, a French and English speaker, a question in Spanish? Then she turns around and says something to Celine in French, to which Celine responds in French, only to find out (I think) the person doesn't really speak French at all. She only asked in French to get Celine's attention. The interviewer couldn't answer Celine's simple question of whether she was from Canada or France because then Celine translated her question into English. (I hope that all made sense). If she spoke English, why didn't she just ask her questions in English and then translate for her Spanish speaking audience. I think trouble was made was it was not necessary.

just because she asked Celine a question in french and not being able to speak french means she is a trouble maker :o and i dont think thats why the lady called kim got pissed off.

I've never seen her with Celine anywhere but here. I don't think Celine actually hired her, maybe she was just there that night. At least I hope so. I just CAN'T see Celine hiring someone that would treat reporters (or even fans) like that.

I've seen this Kim woman in the background on red carpets many times before, especially when Céline was in the US attenting Oscars and/or Grammys. I know I have seen her also in a vid about René managing Céline's career, she(kim) was telling René something and he seemed pissed or preoccupied. It was in the 90's. I'll try to find it and post it here.

I wish someone could explain and/or translate what is exactly happening here. We seem to have only one side of this. :hmm: Who is that woman journalist exactly? I thought someone on another topic had already explained this or am I mistaken now?

Edit :

Isn't it this woman Kim behind Céline to her right at 0:04 at 2007 Oscar :

and this one from this forum at 0:15:

and here she is again in this 1997 red carpet vid behind Céline(on René's left side talking and laughing), she wears a black dress :

We also can see Anne-Marie and Patrick Angélil on the red carpet with Céline and René in this 1997 Oscar vid.

This was previously discussed in the movie premiere thread.

A reporter from Azteca TV (one of the most important Mexican TV channels) wanted to interview Celine, she agreed, but Kim didn't. Despite the fact that they were in front of Celine, Kim allowed a journalist who was behind them to ask her ONE question. Since when are they so short with the media? When another journalist said that Celine was leaving and wouldn't answer more questions, the woman, as a last resort, asked her a question in French and Celine was surprised thinking she was coming from either France or Quebec. The person who posted the video on youtube said that all Spanish-speaking media were ignored, insulted, pushed.

I think it is stupid to ignore the Spanish speaking media in a city like Miami where lots of Latin people live.

A woman who worked for Sony Argentina said back in 2004 that it was very difficult to promote Celine here because she wasn't giving interviews. I believed her because one of the most important TV presenters from Argentina traveled to Las Vegas to see the show in 2004. He was able to film the backstage when the dancers were rehearsing, speak to a Chilean dancer onstage, see and touch the costumes she was wearing at the time, talked with the people who were in charge (one of them spoke Spanish). However, he couldn't interview Celine. That is odd because he interviewed her in 1997 and 2002. There must have been a show that night, otherwise the dancers wouldn't have been rehearsing and the costume people wouldn't have been ironing the outfits.
