Maybe they mean the four unsuccesful IVF attemps. It is dificult to go by a cover and translating something from French to English sometimes ends up sounding totally different...

I bought the mag and Céline's fourth project is indeed "Un film sur Maria Callas"!(a movie on Maria Callas). But they're not revealing anything we fans don't already know. They talk about Céline wanting to do this movie about Maria Callas's life, that this project is still alive, about her previous meetings with Kent Nagano in Germany and his advice of a classical coach for Céline... René says they would very much want to work with Nagano on this project as they both admire the man very much.

I don't know what celinedion.com has been writing about this but it's true "also" that they talk a lot about the actual movie Céline: through the eyes of the world in the mag. There is about four pages on that. One where they describe the many faces of Céline in this movie like for instance Céline the clown(funny girl), Céline the mother, Céline the ambassador, Céline the fighter, Céline the boss, Céline's human side(Céline l'humaine in french), Céline the exceptionally gifted and more...Stéphane Laporte gives his insight regarding his movie and Céline herself.(two pages) And there is also two pages where there is an interview with Julie Snyder on her opinion and thoughts about Céline, their sons, motherhood and their relationship and what surprised her more about Céline.

 

I think it would be nice if someone could scan the mag here. I have the mag but no scanner, sorry! Hope someone else can do it.

 

Inside they talk about the four big project of Céline :

1. Having a baby

2. A new show in Las Vegas

3. The house of her dreams in Florida

4. A movie on Maria Callas

i like this magazine for it's pictures and nothing else. it's always some recycled news that we've heard a million times before and Julie Snyder tells what surprised her about Celine?

they like to say things like that to "sell" the magazine. i mean really what is Julie Snyder going to say that surprsied her you know like those tabloid shows like entertainment tonight that keeps repeating a hook line over and over to get you to watch til the end of the show then they tell you some tiny bit of useless info, thats what its like. the only thing i would like to read here is Stéphane Laporte regarding his movie and Céline. but i wont buy it for that. i read and put back on the shelf

It depends. Sometimes those interviews aren't recycled at all. Personnally I liked both interviews, I found both interesting. Of course this mag is usually more about human interest than actual infos or news.

 

Here are the questions that they asked Julie S. :

- Julie, what part of the movie moved you the most?

- You've known Céline for a long while. What surprised you more about Céline?(For instance she talks about Céline being so tired. She didn't know Céline got that tired, she's like in distress at times she says......

- Are you good friends? Do you call each other often?

- Do both your sons get along well?

- Who's the more severe mother between you two?

- What are the differences between the both of you education wise for your children?

- And today, he goes to school...(talking about a conversation with Céline where she told her that RC won a prize at school recently("the best citizen" at school, a prize that is given to the student who's been the most generous one toward others. She recounts parts of their conversation and how excited Céline was about this. Céline said they filmed that with two cameras and she was very nervous ) I guess she was a very proud mama.

 

I almost never buy mags but if someone were to post the scan for this one, every fan could choose what would be of interest to them. I found the read interesting myself. Stéphane Laporte's interview I found very interesting too.
