TeamCeline ....My experience with them

Is VIP only offered by TeamCeline only for it's members?

 

 

If i'm going to see Celine I would want to be in Front row , and maybe meet her after.

Just thought I'd let you guys know of a past situation

BTW i'm not good with remembering actual dates.so forgive me for that...

 

 

I've been a Celine fan for most of my life so I decided to join her fan club back in 2007 or so.

I mailed the fan club , which was then known as "The Celine Dion International FC"

After I sent my letter , a response came back so quickly!

The offer on the form was simple, "Sign up now for 2 years and get another free"

" the application form was thin and long and had the covers of FALLING INTO YOU AND LTAL" printed on it.

 

Being a member of Celines club for 3 years was the best thing ever so I took them up on their offer.

On the other side of the form had Celine items being advertised and 1 was a set of 5 HQ pics of Celine.

So I took that in addition to my membership.

 

Both the US and CAN $ is 6x my currency so it really took a lot out of me to pay their fees.

My folks also helped me and that was my Birthday gift from them...

My love for Celine eventually took and I made my sacrifice.

 

Months have passed , My money was willingly taken but no membership.

I sent them another letter.

No Reply.

Another one....and still nothing.

 

Soon after I fell ill to a sickness that almost killed me as a kid and didn't have the time to mail them another letter, as I was being treated in a neighboring country.

While in that country , i made sure that my sisters check my mailbox everyday for my Celine membership kit.

I came back months after and still no kit.

I however received a letter with a TEMPORARY password, and was informed that my kit will take a month to come in. So I was patient.

 

Time had passed, so I began to move on with my life .

Then one day I got a "Pen and Notepad" from the FC telling me I won some contest or was random;y selected.

IT was blue with Celine Dion printed in silver on the side."

So I mailed them back a THANK You Letter and asked them about my membership.

My replied came back telling me sorry and they will work on it....and that my TEMP password will work

 

 

Well my 3 years were up and I had gotten Internet so I could email them.

What Happened after made me sad..

 

Teamceline said they were sorry for what happened but could only give me 1 year membership as time had passed.

They also found my payment and refused to refund me.

I explained that I paid extra for HQ pics of Celine and The TeamCEline guy/girl told me that they see the extra cash but dont have pics to send and they dont remember such an offer.

 

So the extra cash for the pics was used to pay for my 1 year membership.

BTW a member for 4 years and NO PICS OR MEMBERSHIP KIT.

 

Ohh and the TEMP password never even worked properly.

If only I had known about this forum...im sure the advice gained would have been very helpful

 

TeamCeline took my money , the least they could have done was make their site more interesting.

 

 

 

 

 

As a Celine Fan I am ashamed of TeamCeline.

They represent Celine and don't do a very good job at it.

We truly need a new group to connect us with Celine.

What was really sad was

I joined the Fan Club to feel connected Celine and show my support but everything went unnoticed

That's tough. I don't blame you for feeling hard done by. Team Celine is a total joke. It is nothing more than an extension to her website and offers nothing of any worth to the vast majority of it's members. I am old enough to remember the very first fan club run by Pauline Dion and while it was small it was intimate and you felt a real connection to Celine. CDIFC was also quite a good club in it's early years and gave out some lovely souviniers, fan mags and Christmas Cards. As well as good discounts for priority seating (with big badges you could wear at the concert)

 

I have learned my lessons about TC and will not rejoin that. I know that the net is where it's at, but a fan club should send you things in the mail. If it doesn't, there's no fun in it. And priority seating should be at a reduced price (slightly) but more impotantly give the fans the option to sit in the very best seats in the house.

 

However, you needn't fel too bad about missing out on TC membership for so long, cause without internet you would have been in the same boat as you were anyway.

 

And as you've learned, the real fans are right here, and for free (or a small donation!)

That is so horrible! I am so sorry for you! That would make me extremely upset and just plain pissed off! Sad thing is, I bet Celine doesn't have a bit of a clue about what happens on teamceline.

This is the best place you can be as a Celine fan. And everything is free.

We can't be official unless her management agree. I doubt it would happen. That's why we are the biggest unofficial Celine Dion fans online community. Actually I believe we have more members than TeamCeline.

I never got that email B, but I went and signed into my EXPIRED TC account and was told I could renew for $40. I clicked the link and the offer for $30 was there. I wonder how long this offer will last.

Edwin, exactely the same happened to me. My membership expired in October 2008 and I renewed it just last week. Until I came to check-out it was telling everywhere that I'm about to pay $40 for the renewal but eventually it turned out to be $30. Nice surprise.

Still, the way the LV presale looked like, that little surprise became irrelevant...

 

Anyway, do new members still get membership cards mailed? Are there any new looking membership cards? I'm just wondering as my old card is silver with Céline's silouette like the one you can see on "Live in Memphis" VHS cover.

I loved the old CDIFC cards, a friend of mine got a gold one with "Celine" logo on its full size - that looks so neat! Too bad I couldn't join the FC back than, hehe...

I had the same problem. I actually sent them a snotty e-mail telling them how pissed I am. The next day I received an e-mail back saying that the resetted my account and they gave me a new password. But it is a total waste of money anyways. I'm not renewing my membership.

Doesn't sound like new members get cards anymore.

Well no wonder, it's not $30 anymore. They are saving $$$ by not sending any membership kits They could have dropped it even longer than $30 cause for $25 they were sending out membership kits

Well, they were never sending new cards to renewing members, I guess. I reneved my membership twice in the past, both time were after the previous membership already expired and never got a new card. But there is/was an option to buy a replacement card in La Boutique. I pondered doing so after I got married and changed my last name but eventually I'm still using the card with my maiden name on it and it was no problem as for picking up the will-call tickets during the world tour.

I asked, because if they would come up with an excitingly beautiful new design than it would be a reason to obtain a new card, hehe! But as far there's no classic "Celine" logo on it anymore, I won't buy a new one.

Last month I renewed for $30 and got the TC keychain along with a letter.

 

I'm sorry you guys have had bad experiences with TC. I am very thankful for the tickets I got thanks to TeamCeline to see Celine in Star Academie last year in Montreal. Priceless.
