It would be great if they put all these elements into to show for variety.

 

The chances are pretty good that she'll sing an MJ song. Those are usually good with a choir.

Philippe Dunnigan will join Celine Dion’s team as concertmaster of the string orchestra accompanying the diva’s return to Las Vegas. He will also participate in designing the string orchestra along with Claude « Mégo »Lemay, Mrs. Dion’s Musical Director.

It's hard to decide on this one. It all depends on the song.

 

i.e. To love you more, she had that violinist on stage with her.

but in Love Can Move Mountains, she had dancers.

 

So it all depends! Either way, it will be amazing!

i'd love to see Céline performing live with an orchestra... But we're in Vegas, babies, The town of entertainment and it seems it could be very boring without any dancers...

 

So, i think it's more interesting to see dancers that musiciens ON stage... (musiciens could be near the scene)

 

 

I would have to agree! When she worked with Mia Michaels for A New Day I actually preferred that setting- Vegas feel, over the Taking Chances tour! Don't get me wrong the Taking Chances Tour was great, but A New Day was incredible! Personally, I think Celine needs to take ballet or something. I do not think that she is overly graceful. She needs to be a bit more graceful, it is the only thing missing from the entire package! She has the best voice out there!

she's so tall, that's one reason, but I have to admit, Céline came out of her shell in Vegas, you can tell she feels even more comfortable on stage and dancing around and going crazy haha

I really don't mind the fact that there are not gonna be any dancers. I hope that this means that the show wont be so staged and choreagraphed and that Celine will interact with the audience more. I love it when she does her own thing and jokes around. I also hope it means that they are gonna focus more on Celine's voice and that there will be less playback songs and that Celine will improvise and play around with her voice more.

Although I love the dancers, I think during A New Day... they seriously detracted from the band's amazing talent. I think the TCWT was far better as there was a perfect balance between the band and the dancers on stage, but in the 90s every tour was just Celine and her band!!

 

I think Celine with an orchestra would be great. I mean, if her performances are anything like the World Children's Day concert, it will be a fantastic show. Celine needs to beat the modern trend and prove that you don't need dancers to make a show entertaining.

 

I wonder if she will have a choir? I would love her to sing Call The Man and TPOTD like the FIY tour!

i go with dancers on this one because the fact that Celine doesn't have her crystal clear voice anymore (don't get me wrong she still has an amazing voice) could make the orchestra bigger / louder than her voice and i think having dancers could help distract people from thinking that (to sum up i don't think that Celine has the voice to "lead the orchestra" anymore but she'll just manage to sound good). To be honest i'm not really fond of the concept of the show which i find boring.

I completely disagree with you, honestly i perfer Celine's voice now... Yes she isn't as technically good of a singer as she use to be, but i think her voice is richer, more soulful with more emotion behind it now Celine can lead any orchestra any day of the week

I also think that they have to have a few dancers because:

#1 It's Vegas.

#2 In order to try and please everyone they'll need a touch of everything.

I understand what you're saying.

I don't know who leads who, but it is going to be tricky with Celine's voice not being as "crystal clear" as it was.

It doesn't matter whether we prefer her voice "crystal clear" or "soulful" it all depends on how it will work with an orchestra.

That was my first thought when I heard about this concept.

 

So far they have gotten things right (imho) so I think they will pull this off too
