zuv Posted January 29, 2010 at 12:54 AM Posted January 29, 2010 at 12:54 AM I say NBC and Conan were wrongFirst of all, i have to say that i never thought Conan was funny. So one could say that i'm biased, but for things like that, i like to step back and look at the story before making my mind about something or choosing a side. 2nd of all, i never watch Oprah unless something really interesting was advertised few days prior. So I watched the interview with Jay today and I learned a lot of stuff that i didn't know before. Although it would be great if Conan could go on the show and give his version of the story. But to me its really clear: NBC fired a man (who was the # 1 at his job) because they thought that in 5 years the man would suck. (How rude was that??) But finally realized afterwards (after 5 yrs) that he was still the best out there (Ratings confirmed)! But it was too late and NBC had canceled Jay Leno's show and gave the tonight show to Conan. 7 months went by and NBC realized that Conan sucked and the ratings were really poor.So they came back to Jay (who isn't the boss of anything) and offered him his job back! Who wouldn't take it?Jay agreed (obviously) but also agreed on still doing a half hour show and have Conan to follow him after! He also agreed to keep the same title of the show!!! Everthing was a matter of time. Nothing else! But Conan refused and played the victme, took the 45 millions and left. LOL Everybody on internet seems to hate Leno for what he supposedly did! (Prolly cause of the media) But like it was said in Oprah... Where were all these people while Conan was having his own show????? Quote
Scramasboy Posted January 29, 2010 at 12:29 PM Posted January 29, 2010 at 12:29 PM I feel for them both. I blame NBC for it all, I don't feel hate for Conan OR Jay. And I LOVE Conan! First off, NBC shoved Jay out and that was complete bullsh!t! And they shoved Conan out and thats BS. IDK. They are morons. I love Jay and Conan and can understand both sides. I hope they dont blame eachother. With Oprah leaving and Conan gone, with all this drama, NBC had better be hoping for a miracle! amyja89 Posted January 29, 2010 at 01:38 PM Posted January 29, 2010 at 01:38 PM (edited) I must say, I'm 100% team Conan on this one, I always hated Jay Leno. People should check out what Howard Stern has to say about the situation, some very interesting stuff! Edited January 29, 2010 at 01:43 PM by amyja89 Quote
