There are various other artists that Sony have released 'The Essential' so it's not something that gloria chose to do, Sony are doing it to just milk as much money as possible now that her contract is finished. It was taken in madrid 2007 after a concert.As for the London concert, it was in Sept 2008 but there was barely any promotion at all, no wonder you didn't hear anything about it. it was most likely due to the fact she had no single or album to promote as the previous one had already been out for 14 months. but you should join the facebook group 'gloria estefan official website' and then you would be informed of any upcoming concerts, so far she has nothing scheduled for this year but that could change.
