Public Breastfeeding

I personally see nothing wrong with it,the mother is covered up with a blanket(all the ones I have seen are.)so whats the big deal?if they are covered up I see nothing wrong with it.it should be allowed,it is the healthiest thing for a baby to drink and what are you going to do tell a mother she can't feed her child?

I don't think there is anything wrong with it, it's human nature, I say go right on ahead... I can never understand how people get touchy about certain things, if you don't want to see it jsut ignore it, it;s that simple

I agree. I don't really see anything wrong with it and dont' understand how people could possibly complain-if it's covered. I remember a few years back, I was shopping at the mall and some lady just whipped her boob out and the baby just went at it. I think I was scarred for life. haha

I think it's ok to breastfeed anywhere. It's a natural thing.

Ok, some people would find it offensive. Or maybe the mother doesn't want to show her body. Then they could cover it. It happens a lot, I've seen tons of time.

But no problem for me. I even think it's a beautiful thing.

My vote can go either way. I completely understand that it is natural that a mother would need to breastfeed and of course babies do get hungry in public places so a mother has to do what is best for the baby but I also think there should definitely be some discretion used. I don't feel it is necessary for a woman to pull out her breast out in the open without first trying to find a more appropriate place. In the US many of the restrooms have special sections for a woman to breastfeed and some even have "family rooms" with chairs and couches to make the mother more comfortable. My dads girlfriend for example will either go to the restroom, sit in the car or find a more secluded area before she breastfeeds just so that she doesn't offend or make others uncomfortable.

That's just my opinion.

i think its fine,finding an appropriate place is what she should do but sometimes its not possible.

Breastfeed in the middle of the supermarket is really not a great thing if it's uncovered Or in the middle of the street or something.
