Descefloa Posted December 27, 2009 at 06:50 PM Posted December 27, 2009 at 06:50 PM Hey it would be great if you all could help me a little bit, i have to give a presentation about Céline Dion in French so i thought of showing a french song which isnt that difficult to understand. So the vocabulary shouldnt be that hard, because the class has to understand the meaning of it and this is really important for me. I hope you can give me a few songs of which you think they would be easy to understand. That would be amazing. Thanks Regards, Descefloa Quote
lindsey22 Posted December 27, 2009 at 06:57 PM Posted December 27, 2009 at 06:57 PM it has to be ELLEits simple and easy to understand Quote

Julian Posted December 27, 2009 at 07:11 PM Posted December 27, 2009 at 07:11 PM (edited) Hey, i just saw that you want to present it to your class. I did the same and the best part was when i presented them the story of "Si j'étais QN" Natalie Nechtschein did the lyrics (it was a poem of her). People were really intrested in it you defenetly should include it. The lyrics are not that easy but you could give them the difficult words translated on an extra page. I think i still have a very very good translation of it. If i find it i could give it to you. Feel free the use my videos (if it's technicly possible in the room) http://www.youtube.com/user/FBFmedia PS: I saw that si j'etais qn is blogged for german users -.- dont ask me why. here is the link, you can download it with zamzar . net / url Edited December 27, 2009 at 07:18 PM by Julian Quote

Jacqui Posted December 27, 2009 at 10:51 PM Posted December 27, 2009 at 10:51 PM Hm...I think I found Valse Adieu easiest. It's very short, and not too hard to understand. I think I learned that one in about half an hour. (Songs like Immensité, on the other hand, almost killed me.) Quote
Fran Posted December 27, 2009 at 11:01 PM Posted December 27, 2009 at 11:01 PM Tous les secrets is easy and nice! Quote
rathnakumar Posted December 28, 2009 at 01:27 AM Posted December 28, 2009 at 01:27 AM There was a lesson in my French class about FEAR and different French words for fear! So, I though we'd use a Céline song to bring it all together! And it worked! JE CROIS TOI! is sooooooooo amazing and simple! Not only is it easy to comprehend but the song is a beautiful love song! winforlife Posted December 28, 2009 at 04:40 AM Posted December 28, 2009 at 04:40 AM I found the lyrics from "Sous Le Vent" one of the easiest to learn and understand. And Céline looks amazing in the video Quote http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v119/LKlafter1/1367035680_small.jpg
MTJ Posted December 28, 2009 at 05:31 AM Posted December 28, 2009 at 05:31 AM I found Je crois toi and Sous le vent to be a bit harder to understand. Her early french songs are the simplest. Also, many from 1f4t, like Frida said. I think Vole, Je t'aime encore, or Je sais pas would be easiest for you (since they're English versions are pretty similar). Also, I agree that Tous les blues sont ecrits pour toi is a great choice Quote

adoreceline Posted December 28, 2009 at 08:25 PM Posted December 28, 2009 at 08:25 PM Le fils du Superman would work pretty well I think. Because there is a story told in it. But I think "On ne change pas" has the best message for young people you know;-) Quote Darf ich leben ohne Grenzen?Lieben, trotz der Konsequenzen?Darf ich meine Träume leben?Meinem Feind die Hände geben?Darf ich mein schwarzes Herz verschenken?Darf ich für mich selber denken?
Javier_Natalio Posted December 29, 2009 at 12:18 AM Posted December 29, 2009 at 12:18 AM tout l'or des hommes is really easy to understand! and its short! that's the one I thought about to; borderline retarded. Quote
Guest Reuben Posted December 29, 2009 at 09:25 AM Posted December 29, 2009 at 09:25 AM Many songs from D'eux are quite advanced grammatically, same for songs on D'elles I would say (if you dont understand a language well you should not delve into poetry). Id go for tout l'or des hommes or et je t'aime encore. Quote
