breathless_euphoria Posted December 11, 2009 at 09:51 PM Posted December 11, 2009 at 09:51 PM This is a youtube video that had me in stitches! But It made me think... Celine never really promoted These Are Special Times. Now I know it sold like crazy but you don't hear her Xmas songs that often this time of year which is a shame cuz they're great! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YA3nsw6TDo The video is obviously a tribute, but they even move like she does! Thoughts? Quote if you don't want my peaches, don't shake my tree
celinefanonline Posted December 11, 2009 at 10:07 PM Posted December 11, 2009 at 10:07 PM they should have made few videos IYA and TP are not xmas songs...they could have film O Holy Night and O Come All Ye Faithful in a churchand then nice videos for Don't save it all for xmas day, the magic of xmas day and xmas evethis would be so good! love xmas Quote Courage don't you dare fail me now!
DoumDi Posted December 11, 2009 at 10:14 PM Posted December 11, 2009 at 10:14 PM I think she promoted it very well back then. The Special was great and I remember in 1998 the Ratings were HUGE! And she did a lot of good live performances. Quote

celinesounds Posted December 12, 2009 at 06:24 AM Posted December 12, 2009 at 06:24 AM almost every single song should have a music video Quote #FREEJAVITO
CelinesDIVO5 Posted December 12, 2009 at 06:47 AM Posted December 12, 2009 at 06:47 AM you are comparing Celine's lack of video to a drag queen that lip synched her version of this song in one? how insulting lol...it was better off withouth the video Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

javiere77 Posted December 12, 2009 at 05:19 PM Posted December 12, 2009 at 05:19 PM There should be a contest in which fans could submit ideas for Celine's next music video... then the fan could win a trip to the shoot and be in the video! Quote
Javito Posted December 12, 2009 at 06:30 PM Posted December 12, 2009 at 06:30 PM Christmas Eve deserved a videoclip Also, they could have promoted I Met An Angel with the performance she shot for that TV special (that video would have been maybe the best videoclip she could have done for that song! ) And, perhaps, a O Holy Night video shot inside a cathedral would have been nice to see Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Tyler1991 Posted December 12, 2009 at 10:10 PM Posted December 12, 2009 at 10:10 PM Umm sorry, but what Christmas special are you referring to?? I woulnd't call a 10 song setlist with more than half being NON-christmas songs a "Christmas Special" .....not to mention all the Christmas songs were lipped, with maybe the exception of TATST, which by the way was shortened. Oh and judging by Celine's voice during the TATST performance, I'm pretty this one was also live. But yeah unfortunately it was shortened. Edited December 12, 2009 at 10:30 PM by Calypso Quote

Belle Céline Posted December 13, 2009 at 04:11 AM Posted December 13, 2009 at 04:11 AM I'd like to see Another Year Has Gone By made into a video but I'd love to see any of the following made into video's. Map To My Heart, Ten Days, Rain Tax, Naked, Reveal, All Because Of You, a REAL video for Alone not just the video from the CBS special, This Time, Skies of LA, the list goes on and on but thats a few of em. couldawouldashoulda Posted December 16, 2009 at 08:45 PM Posted December 16, 2009 at 08:45 PM I would've loved to seen a video for Christmas Eve. And I agree that the "video" of I Met An Angel On Christmas Day that was shot for the special would've been great as an ACTUAL video. It reminded me of those old Sonny and Cher variety shows where Cher would play different characters (I'm referring to the hilarious bits of Celine as her 3 back up singers). Don't Save It All For Christmas Day would've been awesome too, I think. Quote
maceta_biloxi Posted December 17, 2009 at 02:37 PM Posted December 17, 2009 at 02:37 PM Let's not forget that Celine went to several shows to sing The Christmas Song, Another Year Has Gone By and Blue Christmas, also she did the Rosie O'Donnell Xmas Special with The Magic Of Xmas Day. And that other show where she sings Happy Xmas with Gloria Estefan and Charlotte Church. Feliz Navidad was included in One Year One Heart. Les Cloches Du Hameau was performed with her family at Oprah's show. Most of the songs from TAST have been sang either playback or live. Now with the Disney special she will be presenting Don't Save It All For Christmas Day & O Come All Ye Faithful. Really, the only songs left are Christmas Eve & Ave Maria (even though there are early performances from young Celine) Brahms' Lullaby is not Xmas at all, so that one for me doesn't count.
