Matias Posted November 10, 2009 at 05:21 PM Posted November 10, 2009 at 05:21 PM Just wanted to share this with you, I loved the title!! hahaha I don't think she will mind at all! Celine Will Be Pissed! Michael J. Fox Named Most Influential Canadian Expatriate! Actor Michael J. Fox was bestowed the honor of being the Most Influential Canadian Expatriate by the Canadian Expatriate Association. Fox has used his fame to promote awareness of Parkinson's disease which he has been battling since being diagnosed in 1991. He beat out other famous Canadians such as hockey legend Wayne Gretzky, musician Neil Young and the "greatest singer in the world" Celine Dion! The association selected Michael because of: "the bravery of his personal fight against Parkinson's disease and the scope and effectiveness of his global campaign to someday find a cure for the debilitating and deadly disease while supporting those around the world who share the affliction." Congratulations! Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_maic6m257V1rbfceqo2_250.gif"No no, put it back..."

Leanne Posted November 10, 2009 at 06:10 PM Posted November 10, 2009 at 06:10 PM I love Celine, I know she had to be the first place haha! But I have much respect for Michael too, and he deserves this honor too. He is one of my hero's for his work against Parkinson Disease. My father has the same age as Michael and has Parkinson Disease too, and it's really a distroying disease and I'm glad there are still people who use their fame on a right way and give their heart to something like this. Celine won't be pissed whahaha, of course she won't! Quote
Frida Posted November 10, 2009 at 06:19 PM Posted November 10, 2009 at 06:19 PM when she was recording ABM and René and David were nasty to her! (it's in her 1st bio).... But why? They pushed her so that she would do her best during the recording.. Frida Posted November 10, 2009 at 06:25 PM Posted November 10, 2009 at 06:25 PM From My Story, My Dream It was at the Record Plant, in Los Angeles. The day before, David told me he'd changed the orchestrations in the last part of the song. I'd have to sing a little higher, actually up to an F, which is almost at the limit of my range. But even worse, he wanted me to hold that note for several measures. In all honesty, I was dying from fear. I knew I couldn't do more than two takes without jeopardizing my voice. David saw my fear."If you can't manage to do it, it's no big deal," David told me. "We'll just go back to the original arrangement."All right; now that was an insult. On the day of the recording, Rene and I had an argument. About nothing. We always squabble over insignificant things and then can't remember what they were. Even so, I sometimes sulk for a few hours, sometimes for a few days. Rene, more rarely. He doesn't like to be cold to me. And he always tries to cheer me up, to make me laugh. That day, he wanted to sulk seriously and didn't go with me to the studio. So I left all alone, "all by myself," for the Record Plant, where I found David Foster cold, condescending, and almost contemptuous; and he didn't even ask me why Rene wasn't with me.I'd tried each key already and had done my voice and warm-up exercises. While the technicians finished putting in the orchestra tracks, I paced around the studio. I think David purposely delayed starting, as if he wanted to unsettle me even more. At one point the brute came near me and said, half in earnest and half in jest: "I can tell you're worried; but don't worry about that fuss over the F. If you can't handle it, I told you, we'll find a solution. I can always ask Whitney to do it."Whitney Houston was recording that day in the adjoining studio."I know she can reach that F and hold it as long as necessary," David made a point of adding.I didn't say a word. I knew it was a kind of game. And I decided to play it all the way. I went back into the studio. I sang "All by Myself" with all my strength, all my soul, and all my rage. When it came time to climb to that famous F, I pushed my voice to the maximum, to the point of hurting it, and held the note for a very long time. When I recovered from this, the musicians on the other side of the bay window got up to applaud me.I left without saying goodbye to David Foster. Without even asking the technicians if everything was okay and whether or not we Quote http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tcc2copy3_zps08f18352.pnghttp://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p234/celinedion_56/tccgallery-1.png
Claudette Posted November 10, 2009 at 07:11 PM Posted November 10, 2009 at 07:11 PM I guess you can count that as pissed. But I think Perez wrote it like that because he knows people don't think ''Celine'' and ''pissed'' at the same time... Quote http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
