I just learn few minutes ago that my little cousin (13 years old) was diagnosticed with kystic fibrosis. I came from Quebec and Celine has been for years a model for us to go through important steps in life. Did you know that the symbol of the kystic fibrosis is a red rose? It became the symbol because of a young child who always heard his mom talking about this disease and once said to her : Why were you talking about "fifty five roses". If you pronounce it, it looks alike kystic fibrosis. So that's it, we offer 55 roses when someone dies of kystic fibrosis, sadly! Ideas will compete over the course of about 3 months. People will vote on their favourites. Then, the top ideas to help benefit the community will be funded by the Aviva Community Fund. The Competition is held in 3 phases: 1. Idea Entry: held from October 13th through November 29th.We'll hold 3 opening rounds when you can enter your idea or support your favourites. That means you've got up to 3 chances to compete to be one of the 60 semi-finalists. 2. Semi-Finals: held from December 2nd through December 16th. Here's when people can vote for their favourite semi-finalist ideas. Votes will be tallied and the top 25 ideas that get the most votes will become finalists and move on to the Judging phase. 3. Judging: held from December 17th through January 25th. Our panel of impartial judges will review all of the finalist ideas and rank them based on our pre-determined criteria to determine which will get funded. (Learn more about the judging process.) Winning ideas will be made public on January 25th, 2010. So basically if the idea is in the top 20 it goes through to the semi-finals. Right now it's 16th, I think. Quote
