hey guys, just wondering if anyone knew if Celine was participating in this years MDA telethon? I know she has participated in years past and was hoping to maybe see her again this year

She was on this morning!!! It was a pre-recorded performance of My Love and she gave a short little speech before showing it.

 

edit: She said that she was giving her love and strength to Jerry's Kids that that was all she could offer them at the moment. She also thanked Jerry for allowing her to return to the show again. So sweet. and She was wearing the pink taking chances tour dress while speaking in her dressing room but the performance was done in the black sparkly blazer and black pants.

I agree with you Julian, I think last year speech and performance while on tour was shown again. It looks like it if I recall it well. That's what I expected, Céline being on break and all.

I remember her singing on the Telethon, in 2003 I guess, "If I could", with the short blond hair. Does anyone have the video of that?

 

I always like when Celine do participate to telethon and charity events, but sometimes, I have to say that her messages are not really...how do I say that..."subtile" I would say. For example, the 2007 telethon, right here:

She said several times "you make me realise how lucky I am, thanks for that, those children make me realise how lucky I am, as a mother, to have an healthy child, and it's the reason why I am here on your telethon, to thank you for that." Well, for me, that's not the point! Of course parents who have healthy children are lucky, but that's not about them! Telethons are about sick children, and we have to concentrate on them, and instead of realising how lucky she is, it would have been better to say how unlucky they are, and add that it was the main reason to give money, to help scientists to find cures.
