"D'eux" album - Official Topic

In Germany the release date stays the 20th. I wonder if the German release will have the big ugly age limit warning sticked to the cover or it will be an import an, hence, ugliness-free.

There is no age limit, but the age limit classification of a DVD (e.g. +0, +12, +16, and so on, where Celine will obviously count to the first) must be shown on the cover in a big ugly semi-transparent square, which is either printed or stuck to the cover. It is absolutely ugly and idiotic. It's because of new legislation and I HATE it, it totally destroys the covers.

Omg yes, that ruins totally the artwork of the covers!! But that's been happening the same with the UK DVD's since ages, they put also the age classification on the cover

 

Wouldn't be enough if they put this on the back cover?

You know what I really hate though? When they put those e.g.: "Celine Dion's new album out now, including her latets single" stickers outside the packaging. I love them, and I always peel them off to stick them onto the cover, but sometimes they get torn I'm a sad, sad person, aren't I? Lol

Well, at least that's just a sticker, you can remove it! The worst is when they announce those messages and print them in the cover artwork! Like the bonus DVD contents of the TC deluxe edition, that tells about every song included in the DVD and adds "coming this fall" That stays printed forever, and any DVD is coming this fall anymore!

Yeah I tried to peel off the sticker on the shrinkwrap of the TAST Collector's Edition yesterday, but it got torn It worked fine with the ANDHC Collector's Edition. Oh well!

Well, I just thought that if you can get those albums anytime, I'd rather spend my money on rare singles. A logical decision IMO. Anyway I have the ONCP l'integrale so I do have most of her french songs!

Yes there is logic on that, but those live albums are the top of the tops, above all À L'Olympia! You have heard barely anything of Céline if you have not discovered and enjoyed the power and the technique of Céline's voice in that album, is just per-fec-tion, vocally talking

 

So great if you are buying her singles, but if your passion towards Céline moved you to start buying singles before having her complete discography, I don't want to think how crazy you would have been if you already knew all her musical powers through all her discography!

I already know her musical powers. I have listened to most of the songs on the Olympia album on YouTube etc. I just haven't got round to buying the CDs...

erm yeah i guess it's about what you like the most, but I started with getting the albums, then I started to get interested in singles!

 

 

and you might have ONCP, that is nothing compaired to listening to the songs on the original album, which gives them much more right and meaning than the skitsofranic order on ONCP!

 

Don't worry, I will buy all the albums with xmas money!

I've basically collected almost everything from 1990 onwards, apart from some singles, but I want her 1980's LPs, too! Don't have one of those LP player thingies, but I just want to add them to my collection lol I've found eil.com quite useful, but they don't really have any of her LPs (only two of them, last time I checked).

I've always wanted to complete my album collection this year but there's alwyas been singles on eBay that I just had to buy lol! I can no longer mow the lawns this year as it's winter, so I'll just buy albums (and special editions) now...

Don't have one of those LP player thingies, but I just want to add them to my collection lol I've found eil.com quite useful, but they don't really have any of her LPs (only two of them, last time I checked).

 

just go to ebay! there are frequently albums listed, and also lots with 3 or more different albums, and they are 10 times as cheaper than they were 10 years ago!
