Columbia/Legacy is releasing a These Are Special Times DVD on October 6th. No details yet on what it may be, but I bet it's the CBS TV Special. I'll let you know more when I find out.

Yes, but not as a stand-alone DVD. They're also releasing Christmas DVD's from Brooks & Dunn, Mariah Carey, Johnny Cash, Kenny Chesney, John Denver, José Feliciano, Whitney Houston, IL Divo, Joyful Noise, Kenny G, Johnny Mathis, Martina McBride, Bette Midler, Brad Paisley, The Three Tenors, Luther Vandross, and one Compilation from Various Artists on the same date.

I have the DVD of the TAST ( it came witha deluxe edition of the CD and it is the CBS special..there is no other...

Not necessarily. I have yet to buy My Love Collection. I didn't agree with the song choices (or lack there of), nor did I really like the fact of how many typos were on so many editions. It oozed of greed and showed a project that was rushed without great detail given to it. Also, the fact that there was no new photo shoot was pathetic. They, being Sony, Celine, Rene, whomever, should have just released the second volume of The Collector's Series and called it good if they were going to pull that crud.

 

Sorry, but I won't be buying this unless it has some extra material or my DVD in the CD/DVD combo of TAST gets ruined by the cheap cardboard case.

what makes it a gift exactly?? Cos if it's the same as the bonus dvd of the cd/dvd package, than I'll ask if she has the receipt, so I can return it!

But I heard that DVD was missing 2 songs from when the TAST special aired on TV. Maybe the new stand alone DVD would include those missing songs??

This was passed along to me via PM.

 

This version will be a standalone DVD released on October 6th as part of Legacy Recordings Holiday "Yule Log" Series. The DVD basically plays a choice of 3 festive scenes on which the Original Standard "These Are Special Times" album plays to. Thats basically it! and that came straigh from Sony

 

I'll let you know if I hear anymore.

That would be Rosie O'Donnell. And if that really is what they're planning on releasing, that is such a kick in the #ss! I wonder if this is the rumored Christmas CD that we've all been hearing about. No doubt it is. Sony, stop ripping us fans off and release the damn TC:WT DVD already!

I'd prefer a tour dvd but I may buy this after I see exactly whats on it. I only bought the CD of TAST like a year or two ago, I just never remembered to buy it or ask for it for a gift at holidays or birthdays.
