seita Posted August 2, 2009 at 02:43 PM Posted August 2, 2009 at 02:43 PM Which song of these celine's song " I surrender " and " Sorry for love" are the most difficult for celine to sing it live ?? What do you think ??? Quote
Scramasboy Posted August 2, 2009 at 03:47 PM Posted August 2, 2009 at 03:47 PM It would be Sorry for love, if she did the belty version, though I surrender isn't easy at all, I presume! Quote http://68.media.tumblr.com/0215da4dacb45f3375c9bf63cb89e9c3/tumblr_o3edqjdnpP1s2lrfeo1_1280.png
Chin Posted August 2, 2009 at 03:59 PM Posted August 2, 2009 at 03:59 PM I think she has never sung Sorry For Love live, right? Quote
Tyler1991 Posted August 2, 2009 at 04:42 PM Posted August 2, 2009 at 04:42 PM Nope. And IS hasn't exactly been 100% live before either. I think I Surrender is very much like TLYM or IDAN is that the whole song is packed with tough notes. Sorry For Love only has that one high note and a small belt. Hmm, so I'm not sure. Quote
calmar Posted August 2, 2009 at 05:07 PM Posted August 2, 2009 at 05:07 PM She hasn't sing those 2 songs live yet. Well, she did sing a really small part of I Surrender in Vegas, but I still consider she never sang that song live. I agree she recorded it again for the playback track before AND started, but she could have used as many takes as she wanted, so it wasn't really "live". Quote
disadiva Posted August 2, 2009 at 06:25 PM Posted August 2, 2009 at 06:25 PM Both songs are extremely difficult songs The highnotes runs through 4 Octaves i think,And that is hard and she would need a long rest after a performance like I Surrender, Sorry For Love or All By Myself type of songs,Celine still can belt these songs live but it strains the vocalcords and that is why she doesn´t do it often but she add some of these high belters on her albums for the fans because she knowes we want these songs from her, But to sing them Live..That is both pressure for her vocals and she would need lots of rest before and after that is why she picks wisely and All By Myself is her most famous High belt song and NOBODY Can OUTSHINE CELINE...When she acctualy perform All By Myself Life. ghazal Posted August 2, 2009 at 06:27 PM Posted August 2, 2009 at 06:27 PM i surrender is more difficult!! i bet!!! Quote
Selina286 Posted August 3, 2009 at 06:33 AM Posted August 3, 2009 at 06:33 AM I dont think Celine has ever sung Sorry For Love live, but i've heard I Surrender, it sounds difficult Quote
Claudette Posted August 3, 2009 at 07:31 AM Posted August 3, 2009 at 07:31 AM (edited) I would say ''I Surrender''. Edited August 3, 2009 at 07:32 AM by Claudette Quote http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg

celinefanonline Posted August 3, 2009 at 10:43 AM Posted August 3, 2009 at 10:43 AM well sorry for love original version (the one on OH) should be not that hard but remix (the one on ANDHC)is hard...and yes IS is really hard to sing too even Celine didn't really sing IS live but she did after right here right now.. and the ending note it's OMG too!! lol Quote Courage don't you dare fail me now!

Davey84 Posted August 3, 2009 at 11:09 AM Posted August 3, 2009 at 11:09 AM I think that Céline would have more trouble with the pass of the song, then the notes. She isn't that good in singing uptempo English songs... French are great, but with English ones, she can't keep up with the words... Esty Posted August 3, 2009 at 12:25 PM Posted August 3, 2009 at 12:25 PM IMO I Surrender, the whole song, is quite hard to sing. Whereas Sorry For Love has that high tone which sounds difficult. Quote
maceta_biloxi Posted August 3, 2009 at 02:31 PM Posted August 3, 2009 at 02:31 PM I surrender for sure Sorry for love from ANDHC is i believe is an edited version and the long scream is not real, you can tell by listening to the ballad version, they stretch that part for the uptempo version... Charlie92 Posted August 3, 2009 at 02:36 PM Posted August 3, 2009 at 02:36 PM Well so I guess everyone's agree that I Surrender is the difficult one Quote
Simon Posted August 3, 2009 at 06:27 PM Posted August 3, 2009 at 06:27 PM I think "I surrender" is not any easy song and it's not easy to sing it ... unless your name is Céline Dion Quote You could see? Claudette Posted August 3, 2009 at 06:56 PM Posted August 3, 2009 at 06:56 PM (edited) I think that Céline would have more trouble with the pass of the song, then the notes. She isn't that good in singing uptempo English songs... French are great, but with English ones, she can't keep up with the words... I think you are right. I also think that that is the reason she has trouble singing ''Eyes On Me''. By the way, I asked my brother about this. He is also a mucisian so I thought I'd get his opinion on this. He says that ''I Surrender'' is probably one of the hardest songs to sing and not just anybody would be able to pull that of. He says that Celine sounds awesome on that song and that is something since he is not really a Celine fan... Tyler1991 Posted August 3, 2009 at 07:34 PM Posted August 3, 2009 at 07:34 PM I Surrender is definitely one of her hardest. But between I Surrender, All By Myself, I Drove All Night, The Power Of Love, To Love You More, and Le Blues Du Businessman...it's a tough choice. Those six songs are all equally difficult. It would be hard to choose out of those. Quote

It would be hard to choose out of those. Well All By Myself is only hard in one part (the high note) the rest of the song has pretty much regular notes.I bet IDAN takes the breath out of anybody half way through, only Celine can sing the uptempo version.TPOL is the same thing as ABM, only a 2 or 3 notes hard to sing.TLYM seems a difficult song (mostly the end with those long notes) but not as much as I surrender that you must show a very wide range in your voice through out the whole song.Le Blues Du Businessman, this one I agree, might be in the same level as I Surrender. Tyler1991 Posted August 3, 2009 at 09:58 PM Posted August 3, 2009 at 09:58 PM The whole second half of All By Myself is hard. The anymore belt is her most impressive belted note. Then you have the two oh, oh oh oh runs/belts that last 8 seconds a piece, and then the ending note which is also about 8 seconds. Quote

Tyler1991 Posted August 3, 2009 at 11:50 PM Posted August 3, 2009 at 11:50 PM (edited) The notes from 3:09-3:18 on this performance. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Flp6IiiBNxw In some occasions, it was done once, some it was done twice. Some it was done twice, but the first time was changed up and sounded more like this: (3:06-3:11) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LxyBZMe_Xww And then in this performance, it sounded like she started to do it but changed her mind in the middle and did a little of both, lol... (3:43-3:47) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKkh9Tasosk Whenever she changed the first set up and did the note "weirdly", she did it a second time "normally". And that Australia performance was in a much longer arrangement then any other performance and really went on and on and on. She has not done that note the "weird" way since Falling Into You Tour (or most of the promotion around that time...) Edited August 3, 2009 at 11:52 PM by Tyler1991 Quote

QueenCeline Posted August 5, 2009 at 04:10 AM Posted August 5, 2009 at 04:10 AM Well the long "Sorry" from ANDHC has alot more vibrato than the OH one. If they stretched it, wouldn't it be the same "beats" of vibrato, just slower. The ANDHC has a ton more vibrato "beats" than the OH one so, I think she had to sing it.
