with MICHAEL FRIENDS performing in his place.

celine was a huge fan, michael liked her voice, she is the biggest selling female artist of SONY, and a huge parter of AEG...promoters of A NEW DAY...

 

celine has everything to be part of this tribute.

since she is on her break I don't think she would do a concert, she might do a song via satellite but I don't think she'll be there in person, if she does take part in any sort of tribute concert for him.

I disagree, similarly to the 9/11 concerts she did (where she sang God bless america), this could be something that would bring her back for a one off thing.

 

I could be wrong, but she was still on break until sometime during 2002, right?

well she was on break until 2003... but from 2001 to 2003 she was putting together AND.. and for the 9/11 concert when she sang God Bless America she actually flew to wherever and was there. This may be different.. just because this would probably be in front of a live audience.. perhaps the tribute show will consist of other artists and then special messages from other celebs.. i think Celine would probably do that.. but who knows.. it'll be exciting to see what happens

well she was on break until 2003...

She came back full force in March 2002 with the release of ANDHC.

 

I hope she will do something but as others have mentioned if she is trying for a baby I'm not sure if she would be wanting to travel to London as Rene said the treatments would start at the end of July, and I'm not sure a satellite appearance would fit in if everyone else is there in person. Yeah I suppose she might just sent a tribute message if she can't attend.

We don't know when Celine had planned to go though, MJ was performing through March 2010 and July is a very important time for her regarding her baby plans. She might have planned to go 6 months from now when the baby thing was sorted. I'm sure she would go if the timing is right but so I suppose it depends how her treatment goes and when the concert is planned for.

If they do a show in NYC, and tickets are sold to everyone...I am SO there. My guess is she will do it. She said in her interview she was planning on going to his concert, so being the fan she is, why wouldn't she travel to pay tribute to him for one song? I'm sure she'll do it. She was one of the first to comment on his death.

If the show is in L.A (where all the rehearsals took place) then it's more likely she can travel there but the rumours are for a September concert and by then Celine will only be 4 weeks into her treatment that starts at the end of July. So really she only has August to rest up before the show the following month, depending on when in the month it is. Can she safely travel and perform? I don't know enough about the process to know if she needs to rest and not travel or whether it's fine.

 

I think it's almost certain that she would want to be there if she was invited but at the same time if the process goes well and it looks like the treatment is working then there is no way she will compromise it for anyone.

But the question is: When they said that they are gonna do it at the end of July, did they mean that they are gonna start with the hormone treatment at the end of July or that they are gonna do the transfer at the end of July?

I doubt it, only because she plans to try to concieve in a month. It would depend on where it would be... and how much rehearsal time would be needed. She might, but having a baby is going to be her #1 priority.

The announcement was made at a June 26 memorial gathering for Jackson, held by the tour’s cast and crew.

 

According to a tour organizer, one performance will now be held in September and will be a replica of what was planned for “This Is It” in London.

 

High-profile singers are expected to perform in place of Jackson. Among them, possibly Madonna, who was expected to appear at one of Jackson’s shows in London. A firm decision has not been made as to where the tribute concert will take place, but it’s likely to be in Los Angeles.

 

So I guess it all depends on if she's pregnant in September.

Just because she gets pregnant doesn't mean she can't perform. Because it is high-risk pregnancy (I guess) she probably wouldn't do anything that would require her to do a whole lot of moving around or be too active. Maybe she would do something like she did at the Grammy Preshow, sit down on a stool (or stand) and just sing something soft and sentimental. I wouldn't be surprised if she did participate and she chose to cover one of her favorite songs by him. Since it would be a replica of the tour he was planning, all of the celebrities who appear would probably do a cover of one of his songs. Just a thought though. I can see Justin Timberlake, Usher, Brian McKnight, Celine, Diana Ross, Madonna, Beyonce, Whitney (?) all making appearances.

 

Though in celebration of him, I'm sure it would be a sad, sad night for everyone there.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did sing that as the big finale. Maybe even rerecord it, sell it , and disperse all the proceeds to Michael's favorite charities. Maybe they could make the whole concert a charity event by putting it on DVD.

She´s beginning her IVF process in July.

That means 2 weeks of shots and then she has to wait at least 11 days until she knows if she´s pregnant.

And she might get sick when she gets the shots and for the 11 days she should not do nothing at all. Just rest.

 

If she doesn´t get pregnant, then I would think they are likely to try again so at least 2-3 months trying...

 

So no way, I don´t think she will be in it, maybe through satellite

 

If she wasn´t going through IVF, then I definetly think she would participate

They said in the video, they were looking at September for the concert, so there would be some time after all that for her to get over whatever treatments she's receiving. Someone educate me because I don't really know. I just don't think she wouldn't participate.

don´t know. I would think she would take it easy for the first 3 months of pregnancy so she wouldn´t risk anything. Or maybe that´s just something I want her to do

If it's an all or nothing situation I would rather she did absolutely nothing for as long as it takes to be sure, if this means missing the concert then it's a real shame and she will surely be sad if she can't make it (providing she was asked to take part in the first place). But family comes first and if it's their last hope for another child they shouldn't take on any other work.

I agree with this. I would much rather her miss out on a concert and have her get pregnant than have her fly somewhere to do it while pregnant and risk losing the baby. I know that she is dedicated to her fans, but family comes first and another child would be more amazing than her flying somewhere to do just one song.
