If Celine could do that every night, wow, what a powerhouse!No, TLYM has ALWAYS been sung with what we call "playback" (lipsynch); the sound you hear may seem different because of the way it has been recorded (here with the cam microphone, so that you hear the real sound spreading over the theater; but the DVD's version is totally the same, just recorded right from the musicians' microphones and Celine's voice directly from the playing track). I don't know if it's the tape format or the conversion process or whether they do it manually to make her sound young and high pitched....who knows. But it's the sameold track we know and, erm, love. The part where Celine goes chipmunk was the only live thing she did. They practiced lipping and fingering to the pre-recorded track during the second part of the rehearsal...
