SuperLove4Celine Posted June 8, 2009 at 09:30 PM Posted June 8, 2009 at 09:30 PM To all: Next year my partner and I will be moving to Las Vegas. (Not because of Celine, but that does sweeten the pot!) I'm writing you all here to get some pointers and some help. I need help on the following: 1) Where are the best and not-so-best locations to live in Las Vegas, Henderson, etc.?2) What is the job market currently like?3) What is the average pay per hour or average yearly salary?4) What is public transportation like? Is it reliable or horrible?5) Do utilities usually come included in apartment/townhouse rentals?6) If you live in Las Vegas/the Las Vegas area why do you like living there? What do you not like about living there?7) What are the temperatures usually like? Thanks to all in the future who will help me. <Joe> Quote
angelil78 Posted June 8, 2009 at 09:40 PM Posted June 8, 2009 at 09:40 PM I just know that North Las Vegas isn´t the best. And the area behind the hotels. Lake Las Vegas is supposed to be perfect Quote

Bralo20 Posted June 11, 2009 at 06:35 PM Posted June 11, 2009 at 06:35 PM Don't think it is the best time to move to Vegas... However, if you got the money and you can buy yourself a home right now, it is in fact the best time to move... At this moment there are thousands of properties for sale for under 300.000 USD A quick example: http://www.homes.com/listing/87765894/7624..._VEGAS_NV_89113 A rather beautifull and large place for a real bargain price... And there are multiple thousands like that one... To find a job it will be hard, some construction sites are stopped, Fontainebleau is bankrupt, staff are laid off in the casino's I just spend there 5 days and it was like being in a ghosttown... At least compared to some years ago... Quote ...
ladylindsey Posted June 11, 2009 at 08:04 PM Posted June 11, 2009 at 08:04 PM It is like that a lot of places in the U.S. Might as well go on an adventure, I say! i actually have a better chance of finding a job out west in my career field than I do here, so it makes a bit more sense for me. There is always dancing in the meantime Gotta keep in shape to dance at Céline's shows Quote
SuperLove4Celine Posted July 4, 2009 at 10:28 PM Author Posted July 4, 2009 at 10:28 PM You guys are funny! Of course we'll be able to have Celine parties! (Hopefully Robert won't get too annoyed. LOL) As for jobs there's actually quite a few out there I've found. You just have to know where to look. :cough: City Center :cough: I've found some really amazing apartment deals. I have found multiple 2 bedroom/1½ bathroom places for rent for around $750/mo. I also found a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment for about $900/mo. Here's to hoping things go smoothly once I really start to go full force with moving! <Joe> Quote
