Is RER B in Paris often late?

Hi Parisiens,

 

I will be taking RER B at Luxemburg station at 5.25AM to Anthony station, then be transferring to the Orly Airport at 6.10AM. I have only 20 minutes before the boarding gate is closed at 6.30AM. So I'd like to know if RER is often late. I wanna make sure!

Parisian trains are 95% of the time on time.

 

That means BE ON THE TRAIN the time the ticket says. It normally leaves AT THAT specific time.

 

Orly airport is VERY easy to navigate. Plus there is an Aifrance shuttle bus that runs that gets there from Gare Montparnasse in less than 40 minutes.

 

You're not giving yourself a lot of time, as there could be many things that could go wrong (not to scare you). Over here in France there are strikes at the drop of a hat, and you don't want to have to rely on those services during strikes. ESPECIALLY the trains (RER, TER, etc).

Often is not a good word. They do happen----not like every month, but periodically. Sometimes they are posted before hand.

I have few more questions

 

I will board RER at Luxembourg station to CDG, so this picture says the train leaves Luxembourg at 5.22 and arrives at CDG 5.58 (followed by 5.36 and 6.14 for the next train)
