SuperLove4Celine Posted April 24, 2009 at 06:14 AM Posted April 24, 2009 at 06:14 AM When I woke up this morning I found to my oh so wonderful enjoyment that I was sick. (I have the cold or the flu or something.) Because of this I recently thought to myself, as I was helping keep Puffs and Alka-Seltzer Plus in business, how many other Céline fans may have gone to her concerts ill. With that said how many of you out there in Célineland have gone to her show(s) sick/not feeling well? Did going to the show help you forget about your being sick? Did you feel even more drained afterwards than before? What did you do to help yourself get through the show? Thanks! ...Joe... PS...To answer the poll question - I believe I went to see A New Day... once while I had a cold and ended up not enjoying the show as much as I normally had in the past. Quote
Celine684201 Posted April 24, 2009 at 06:55 AM Posted April 24, 2009 at 06:55 AM WHat an interesting topic...I can't really say that I WENT to a concert sick...not like flu sick....but I'll tell ya...after the montreal concerts of TAKING CHANCES I came home sick coz I hate winter coats...lol... Leanne Posted April 24, 2009 at 09:00 AM Posted April 24, 2009 at 09:00 AM (edited) Aww, in Amsterdam I became sick during the concert. I missed half of the concert, I was only crying and being at the First Aid. I think it was a sunstroke, because that day I was very very burnt by the sun I was soo sad after the concert, I had the feeling this Celine-period of my life wasn't ended very good. That night I had never expect I would see her again, but one month later, 3 days before Arras, I had tickets for it!! I was so happy I could do it another time without sickness! Edited April 24, 2009 at 09:04 AM by Leanne Quote

ashleylovesceline Posted April 24, 2009 at 12:53 PM Posted April 24, 2009 at 12:53 PM Interesting topic. I've never been tremendously sick or anything, but two different times in Las Vegas I felt awful during the day and had to rest, I forgot all about it by the evening as soon as I entered the Colosseum. And during the tour, I went to a show after only sleeping maybe 4 hours in two days. I was exhausted, and I was ready to just pass out then and there. But the music started, Céline entered walking right past me, and I was AWAKE! The adrenaline always kicks in! Quote

chelsea9187 Posted April 24, 2009 at 03:30 PM Posted April 24, 2009 at 03:30 PM The first time that I saw Celine in Las Vegas I was sick, I had sinus infection that had turned itno and ear infection so I wasn't feeling all that great but the show was still amazing. Then when I saw her in Washington I managed to get another sinus infection, and then in Nashville I didn't even have a voice and I could barely talk but I was there and loving it the whole time. Even my stupid sinus problems didn't keep me from enjoying Celine!!! She was amazing as always Finally, when I saw her in Omaha I was completely healthy and had the best time ever with all of my wonderful friends! Quote

Terre Posted April 24, 2009 at 08:51 PM Posted April 24, 2009 at 08:51 PM No, I've never gone to a Céline concert sick. I didn't eat or sleep that much for many days when I went to see Céline last summer but I was feeling great. It would be terrible to go to a concert sick but I'd go to see Céline no matter what. ce-line Posted April 24, 2009 at 09:07 PM Posted April 24, 2009 at 09:07 PM No, I haven't. It would have been so annoying being sick when I was going to enjoy every second. Chellbie Posted April 25, 2009 at 01:42 AM Posted April 25, 2009 at 01:42 AM UMMMMM actualy YES.. funny story... For my meet and greet in Miami, I had become sick a few days before.. Im thinking it was from the snowy weather from raleigh, or the fact that BRITTANY was sick and got me sick. I just knew I would get the worst of it when Miami came bc i was meeting her backstage.!! Then I worked the day before I left and completely lost my voice at the registers in the retail store i work at. infact they sent me home early so i could pack for the trip but really i had no voice to even speak to customers. I was freakin out big time. So i went on a celine no talking hiatus for the next 12 hours which was super hard. (celine how did you do it?) and i had somewhat of a raspy voice when the big day came. It when in and out and you could barely make out the comprehension of my whole sentence. I was almost in tears before i met Celine. Then her assistent came to where we all were backstage and had a face/mouth mask and a bottle of purel hand sanitizer and someone jokingly asked if that was for Celine and she said "yes, we heard some she's meeting with is sick" omg. I freaked my freak. I shot a glance to my mom and said 'how did they find out?!?!?' i was shattered. was she gonna wear this mask the whole time and was it MYYY FAULT?!?! I surely didnt want her to get what I had after all her postponements! BUT.. she never wore it.. never even used the purel. never even went to the side of the room where it was. And no worries. I couldnt even make myself say more than a few words to her so she never noticed I was sick. I'm thinking it was for someone or something else bc there was nooo way they couldnt have caught on to me. I was so nervous and scared I wasnt talking at ALL ha. It crossed my mind for a split second to forfeit my meet and greet to keep from giving anything to Celine.. then i though.. ahhh, I'm sure shes got a strong enough immune system. LOL. so in all, yes I went to a concert with a sickness. AND A MEET AND GREET. trust me, if theres ever a chance for me to meet her again, and IM well, i will talk my head off! =) ps. there is NO worse feeling than having Celine come to your side of the catwalk ... feet from you, and you cant even scream a peep out. My mouth was wide open but no sound was coming out. I could scream to get her attention, I couldnt yell her name or I love you. It was HORRIBLE.. =( I remember being crushed and whispering over to my mom.. 'yell for me' =( But yes, i would go no matter what! By other way, I missed a concert not for being sick thus for being working, it was not too long ago, I missed to see Céline at the Star Academy this year that I had tickets but I couldn't make, still sometimes that it hurts when i think about it. Véronyk Posted April 25, 2009 at 11:41 PM Posted April 25, 2009 at 11:41 PM I was sick the morning of the concert on Les Plaines. And I knew that I had to wait for like almost 8 hours in the big heat. So i didn't go. That was the saddest day of my life. I was waiting for that for like one year maybe and I really couldn't make it. I saw some girls on TV feeling very well on the morning and go away because they we're sick from the sun and everything. So I went on a place that put the concert on big screen. I wasn't in the city of Quebec, but very near and I was able to see the concert on big screen. But I was crying on the morining cause I knew that I wasn't able to make it for the show. But I got a good surprise on september 1st, I wasn't suppose to go to that show and I went, it wasn't the same things cause on Les Plaines it was historical, but it was a good surprise. fra1972 Posted April 29, 2009 at 03:17 PM Posted April 29, 2009 at 03:17 PM During the Colour of My Love Tour I had the stomach flu a couple days before the show. I had fainted and when I fell I bruised my ribs pretty bad. Well on the day of the concert I had a high fever and was not feeling great but it was my first Celine concert and I wasn't going to miss it. My husband (boyfriend at the time) didn't think we should go because of my condition but I convinced him I was fine and we went. When the opening act came on I was incredibly hot and not feeling good at all but I kept up the brave front and got through it. By the time Celine hit the stage I was thinking the only way I'm leaving is on a stretcer thankfully I made it and enjoyed the show.My husband and I still talk about it to this day and he still thinks I'm stubborn. Edwin Posted May 3, 2009 at 09:26 PM Posted May 3, 2009 at 09:26 PM Nope never gone sick, but the only time I saw her in Vegas I was really really tired. It was only a 2hr difference for me too! I dunno how some who traveled 20+ hours did it. Probably waited a few days after arriving Quote
