Lymon Posted April 11, 2009 at 04:36 AM Posted April 11, 2009 at 04:36 AM Any Reba fans here? I heard her duet with LeAnn Rimes recently on her Family album, and I loved her and her voice. So I downloaded 50 Greatest Hits and Reba is just so amazing. Anyway, Reba has a new single out called Strange. It's off her first studio album in 6 years, and the album will be released in August. Right now the single is at #85 on the iTunes Country charts. I love Strange, it's so good! Quote http://i51.tinypic.com/2uf4r5f.png

Allie Posted April 11, 2009 at 08:51 AM Posted April 11, 2009 at 08:51 AM (edited) I've so been waiting for a Reba thread!! She was my LIFE for 14 years, before I discovered Celine last year. Serious, I was so obsessed. I have three posters of her up in my room, every damn CD and get this - I have met her...SIX TIMES. I've seen her in concert 3 times, seen her in a play once in LA...she is so amazing, I LOVE her. She wasn't as nice as Celine is to her fans (she's been a tad rude a couple times and she's not as warm as Celine) but nevertheless, I cried every time meeting her. I've got two videos of meeting her (separate times) and then one picture where I look like I know her, I'm on set at her TV show Reba (attended the series finale taping of that, something I'll never forget) in a group with like, five people talking to her. I don't even remember it because I was in such a daze but I have proof! haha. So needless to say...I f****** love her. Also, I saw you just registered at ExtremeReba...I replied to your introduction, that board is basically my second home (as you can tell by the, like, 26,000 posts I have there haha) And I'm loving the new single, Strange. She looked so damn good on the ACMs, she's just getting better with age Edited April 11, 2009 at 08:53 AM by Allie Quote

I always thought she seemed to be warm and friendly to fans, but then I've never met her so I wouldn't know 'Duet's' is an amazing album, as are some of her previous albums. Quote

Lymon Posted August 23, 2009 at 04:20 AM Author Posted August 23, 2009 at 04:20 AM (edited) Who loves the new album? My review: 1. Strange - Amazing first single! Can't say anything that hasn't already been said. 10/10 2. Just When I Thought I Stopped Loving You - I love it! I love the production of it and it's such a great song. 10/10 3. I Keep on Lovin' You - Beautiful ballad with emotional vocals from Reba and great lyrics. 10/10 4. I Want a Cowboy - Needs to be the 3rd single! Sassy, fun, and with an edge only Reba's voice could bring. 10/10 5. Consider Me Gone - My favorite song on the album along with She's Turning 50 Today. PERFECTION! Great midtempo with wonderful kiss-off lyrics and great vocals from Reba. 10/10 6. But Why - A pretty good song, not my favorite but it is really good. 8/10 7. Pink Guitar - Fun song, you can tell Reba had a lot of fun with this one. 9/10 8. She's Turning 50 Today - AMAZING! Perfect song with touching lyrics and a vocal performance from Reba that makes you feel her pain. My favorite with Consider Me Gone. 10/10 9. Eight Crazy Hours (In the Story of Love) - I really like the laid-back, acoustic feel of the song, and the lyrics are very interesting. Really great song. 10/10 10. Nothing to Lose - Fun, sassy song! Great fun, it's especially great live(loved the Invitation Only performance). 10/10 11. Over You - Really beautiful ballad with a great vocal performance from Reba. 9/10 12. Maggie Creek Road - Great song with a lot of meaning. The tempo is faster but the lyrics are very deep. 10/10 13. I'll Have What She's Having - I honestly never took to this song like I did the others, but it's still good. 7/10 Great job Reba! Allie Posted August 26, 2009 at 07:52 PM Posted August 26, 2009 at 07:52 PM Reba Makes History with #1 Album in the US!http://www.ilike.com/artist/Reba+McEntire/...etins/455896837 Superstar entertainer Reba McEntire adds another page to the history books this week as her first new solo studio album in six years – and her first on her new label The Valory Music Co. – debuts at #1 on both the Billboard Top Country AND the Top 200 Albums charts. Keep On Loving You is Reba’s first solo studio album to reach #1 on the Billboard Top 200. Featuring the Top 10 smash “Strange,” the album is the highest debut from a female country artist for 2009 and is the 6th overall highest country debut of the year. With the success of Keep On Loving You, Reba now holds the record as the female artist with the most #1 albums on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart, having earned 11 #1 albums since the launch of the chart on January 11, 1964. Reba had previously shared the title with Loretta Lynn with 10 albums. “I have had a blast working with my new Valory Music Co. team, along with my Starstruck family, on this record,” said Reba who learned of her #1 history-making status last night, while in LA for a host of television tapings, via a phone call from label President & CEO Scott Borchetta. “To have this success at this time of my life and career means everything to me.” Reba’s Keep On Loving You also marks a major milestone for country music as a genre. The album’s #1 status marks the third consecutive country album to top the Billboard Top 200 Album chart. Reba rounds out the trio of Sugarland and George Strait whose new albums achieved #1 status in the previous two weeks. Reba’s #1 album this week marks the first time in history that three country albums have topped the Billboard Top 200 Album chart in a row. Reba performs her new single, “Consider Me Gone,” tonight on NBC's hit summer series "America's Got Talent” (9-10 p.m. ET). I am unbelievably happy for her. Thirty-four years into her music career and she can still break records and be on top? That's impressive. That's my girl! Quote

The hot-off-the-presses artwork was revealed exclusively by USA Today in this morning’s Lifeline column. Reba’s 34th career studio album will also include the superstar’s popular cover of Beyonce’s hit, “If I Were A Boy,” which became a viral sensation when she first performed the song on CMT Unplugged earlier this year. ALL THE WOMEN I AM, marks Reba’s first project with award-winning producer Dann Huff (Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts). “It is so good to be back in the studio with Dann Huff,” says Reba. “He has played guitar on so many of my albums and I was thrilled when he said yes to producing this CD with me. He’s a very talented, creative and fun person to work with. ALL THE WOMEN I AM will be the superstar’s second album for The Valory Music Co. The new album also includes Reba’s latest smash hit, “Turn On the Radio.” The modern day kiss-off anthem is already a Top 25 hit on both Billboard’s Top Country Songs Chart and the Country Aircheck/ USA Today (powered by Mediabase) chart. Reba’s recent Gold album, KEEP ON LOVING YOU, garnered a string of hits including the Top 10 “Strange” and the history-making, “Consider Me Gone,” which spent 4 weeks at #1. With the success of, “Consider Me Gone,” Reba joined Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood and Gretchen Wilson as the only female Country artists to log more than 3 weeks at #1 in the past 10 years. The Top 10 title track, “I Keep On Loving You,” became Reba’s 63rd Top 10 hit . Last week Reba, earned and 2010 CMA Nomination for “Female Vocalist of the Year.” The superstar recently surpassed the one million fan mark on Facebook, propelling her into an elite group of only 10 Country artists to achieve the popularity milestone.
