Is Ft.Lauderdale important to music industry?

I notice that this city has seen in many music events, such as DVD footage by artists and Celine even performed there in every world tour. Is this city important to music business? How!

I do think that Fort Lauderdale is an important concert stop for artists. The Fort Lauderdale area may not have a population like the Los Angeles or New York areas, but the city is located in South Florida, which attracts great number of tourists from throughout the U.S., South America, and Europe. South Florida also has a significant affluent community as well. Also do remember that Fort Lauderdale is located in Broward County which is right between Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties, also diverse areas with large pockets of affluent individuals, tourists, and part-time residents with varied tastes that make the demand for certain events important. From Fort Lauderdale one can arrive in the Miami or Palm Beach areas in 20-45 minutes, depending where you are going.

Ft. Lauderdale is also a huge tourist destination. With the beach and lots of shopping available, there's always a crowd. Ah... I loved it when I lived there.
