Favorite TCWT moments

Now that the tour has wrapped up, and I've finally begun printing out all my photos and putting them in albums, it got me thinking. Out of all the special moments I've had throughout this tour, what stick out in my mind the most? What were some of my favorites? So I figured, I'd start a thread. What are some of y'alls favorite moments from this tour, whether you were at the concert or not?

 

Some of mine include, hearing "My Love" live very the first time and being directly in front of her while she sang it, in Long Island when she sang Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore...how the lighting was right in my face and it seemed she was singing directly at me , meeting all my new friends in Montreal, the omaha song...even though I was not there, my hugs , and of course getting a response to my letter when I needed it most. Ah, theres so many more. This tour seriously turned the worst year of my life by far, into one of the best. Not only because of Celine, but because of the people I met along the way and the memories we all shared.

 

So, looking back on this fantastic year we shared as fans, what are some of your favorite tour moments??

How could I forget the International fan meeting in MTL. That was AMAZING.

P.S. I think it's weird that the intro video's city names in Nice were in English meanwhile Salt Lake City in French!

Did you get all your photos back in order yet? I read your Twitter about that and felt very sorry for you lol, that would be quite a task.

 

My favorite moments, hmm...

I think just seeing her for the first time (Sydney concerts). It changed something in my life in a way I don't even know how to explain. I always thought, there's reality, and there are the things you dream of...but the things you dream of are just dreams. Then seeing Celine...I believe in possibilities now, that even if the world seems like sh*t, you never know what's around the corner. Is that weird? I don't know.

 

My other favorite is everything that happened in Montreal. No, I wasn't there...but seeing how much her home, her family, all that means to her was really touching, and watching you guys discover that was amazing too.

Well, my first Celine Concert that was quite interesting lol.

I was so nervous, I was running in the stair of the metro, and I wasn't able to stop moving, lol.

In this show, at the end, I was able to touch Celine's hand but I didn't look at her. But WOW. After the show we had a meeting, with some fns, and believe me when I saw Tam I jump into her arms and said: I TOUCHED CELINE lol that was funny. The waiter was like: SHUT UP !!!

 

The concert on tghe 1st. September, this was a complete surprise for me, didn't suppose to be there, and Celine was in my face lol.

 

And on the 15th february, when she saw my add : Charlemagne waiting for you and she wink at me and touch me during I drove all night WOW !!!

 

and of course: The Omaha song wow !!!

The fan meeting on 13th february, won't forget !!!!

 

Finally the last moment: I will cherish that all my life, it wasn't really part of the tour, but almost, like Celine said, it had to stop here in Montreal, was the Star Academie show, When I hugged her wow !!!!

 

That's it, there's so much things I can say. I just can't wait to print all my photos. It will be soon.

3 albums later, I finally got them in order haha. I was up all friggen night. I usually have A.D.D with that sort of thing lol but I just finished it, and it looks so nice.

___ Watching the videos from Soweto with Celine and RC helping to feed the children and being loved and serenaded by them

 

___ Photos of Celine, Rene and RC with Nelson Mandela

 

___ Watching the video of young Curtis Woodside of South Africa while meeting Celine. His tears of joy are worth a thousand words

 

___ Celine requesting 2 things from Seoul tour organizers...Someone to teach her the Korean national anthem and also a popular Korean song so she could sing them at the Seoul concert

 

___ Celine taking the time out of the Seoul concert to acknowledge her dancer Addie Yungmee's birthplace of So.Korea and the fact it was the first time Addie was returning to her homeland since her adoption at 2 yrs of age

 

___ Watching the short but hilarius clip of Celine lunging at the Sumo wrestler in Japan while dressed in her yellow gown for MHWGO... You can dress her up but don't always expect her to act like a girly girl! lol

 

___ The video of Celine meeting and giving comfort to a terminally ill man and his family before the Antwerpen concert

 

___ The young man with flowers approaching Celine onstage in Cologne for an autograph/hug and then watching his absolute joy afterwards

 

___ Celine singing BYLM in Amsterdam as fans crammed down the aisles to be closer to her as she moved along the stage

 

___ Celine singing MHWGO acappella with fans at her star dedication in Krakow and the outpouring of love to her

 

___ Celine singing scat with audiences at Milan and Krakow

 

___ Videos from the Croke Park concert....WOW

 

___ The same goes for the Arras concert

 

___ Upon hearing the story of how 3 English fans missed her show in LasVegas because she was ill and canceled the show, and then how they were scammed out of tickets to her London concert, Celine made sure they received tickets to the May 6th London concert

 

___ Watching Celine greeting Mohammed Ali before the Phoenix (?) show and being so upset because she is becoming sick and losing her voice but performing that night anyway. Can any of us understand the immense pressure on this woman's shoulders??

 

___ Cracking up the audience in Long Island during a pause in the show while stage hands wiped down the stage. Doing a baseball pitching routine up in Ottawa. And ALL of her incredibly funny and touching moments with fans during her introduction for My Love!

 

___ Autographing her very first album for a fan who approached the stage and her very funny comments of how she looks like her son, as well as her thoughts on "getting old"! I think this was "Tampa Bay"?

 

___ Watching a woman run down out of the stands at the August 25th Montreal concert while Celine was singing S'il Suffisait D'Aimer, Celine reaching down to her and the fan grabbing and holding onto Celine's hand for the rest of the song. I cried with her. Amazing......

 

___ And of course, watching the video of Celine in tears at the end of the Omaha concert. Breaks my heart watching that and I can't imagine what was going through her mind at that moment!

 

___ There is so much more but I have already written a mini novel here! Only other thing I want to say is that if the 8th Wonder of the World was a human being.......that human being would be named Celine Dion!

:bounce: Mine hands down was naturally at the only concert I've seen her in during the tour. It was in Columbus, Ohio and the first one was arriving late, darting around the venue to buy a tote bag, tourbook, pins and shirt and then trying to find our seats and asking where they were and being told we either had to take the steps or elevator and just as my best friend miranda and I went to run off for the elevator since it was past eight already a man who worked there stopped us and ask "is it just the two of you?" We replied and said yes it was and he said "How about I upgrade you?" We literally flipped and of course said yes right away! He handed us the two tickets and pointed to the seats, we turn around the section they are in is right behind us!! We bolt into the section and ask an usher where are seats our, we look around and realize we are two feet from the catwalk! Then another man who worked there was telling the people in front of us that Celine was going to come right out in front of us! She would be on the catwalk alot! The third was during Because You Loved Me when Celine came right to our section and held the mic out and we got to sing the last lines of the song with her! The fourth moment was when she was singing, I don't remember the song because I was to excited after this happened, but she came over to us looked ME right in the eyes and then my best friend and told us to "Stand up! Dance!" and the fifth was when the fan threw roses on stage to her during My Love and she cried and hugged the fan and talked to the crowd saying "you know the songs not over...I thought this was hard in a recording studio, you aren't helping!" and then "I forgot what key I was in!"

 

sorry I just had to add this, I was re-reading my post and it gave me chills, I wanted to cry. It was like being there all over again!

The very best moment for me:

 

-> The whole concert on Krakow, 28th June '08 of course, but most of all - the moment when she was having fun with us, lay on the floor saying 'I'm sleeping here tonight!' and when she suddenly began to sing 'We are family' and we all joined in... it was FABULOUS!

 

-> the videos I saw on Youtube of her starting to laugh during My Love and restarting the song... and I just love watching her sing My Love live, for example in Berlin and in Dublin... so touching

 

-> The moment when she sang for the audience in Arras I think... I don't know if I can recall the words... but you know, this Vouz etes chaud, meme quand il n'y a pas de soleil...

 

Ohhh

 

(Oh and BTW - is there a link to the Intro video in HQ where the soundtrack is this slower remix of I Drove All Night, like before the Krakow concert and probably many others? I somehow can't seem to find it anywhere, and I'm not counting those I found filmed with cameras, not good enough quality for me...)

Here are some of my favourite moments:

 

- My first ever Celine concert here in SA;

 

- All the moments where she started laughing during ''My Love'' and had to restart the song;

 

- The footage of her being sick and still performing;

 

- All the moments with her fans giving her flowers and frogs;

 

- Seeing the joy on her face every time she talked about her mother and RC on stage

Was it just me or during RDMH Celine is the last thing you see, the dancers caught my attention with all the weird moves and jumps and everything, i just love watching them do their thing during that song.
