The 250 figure is probably the figure she was worth privately (as a single person) back in 2007.

To get an actual figure you'll need to take notice of the combined value of the Dion-Angelil couple and the value of Rene Angelil alone. When you combine those 3 you'll have the combined value of Céline & Rene. But since those figures are private it's not accurate to make a estimated guess. Let's say that Céline alone is worth 300 million now. Maybe Rene holds another 100 million and the combined accounts give them another 150 million. So this would mean that both combined are worth 550 million USD privately. (fictive numbers ofcourse, it can be way more but it can also be way less...).

 

But... Even this is not the real value... Like I've written before the couple ownes 9 Canadian companies & 2 American companies... 11 companies (and there are probably even more) that are having a value also... When you take the value of those 11 companies combined and you take the percentage of shares they hold in all of them you have almost the real figure... Why almost? Because they are also investors in other companies which they do not own but where do hold a certain amount of shares. At this point where almost at the end... There is a chance that they also have "off shore" accounts for tax purposes.

 

So when you combine everything you'll have the actual value which will be much more than the 250 million.
