Celine's record Label

Hey sorry for my lack of knowledge but i need to use one of Celine's songs for a commercial im doing in one of my courses. So i emailed SONY BMG to get permission and they sent me a form i have to fill out. SO what is the record label? is that Columbia?

Well, her label is SONY, but her albums have been listed as Columbia, Epic, and 550 Music which are all owned by Sony.

for many years she was epic (she is signed to the US label), but as of 'Taking Chances' she changed label to Columbia, and will stay there. There must have been a reason she changed label as she was Epic for many years.

However, it gets confusing, as in different territories, she goes through different labels depending on how the particular territory divide the roster. in France she has always been columbia, and in the UK she is RCA!

As she is signed to the US though, you go by which label she is there, and it is Columbia.
