Well, they just added this new icon to the main page which I think is pretty cool.

I definitely think they need to revamp the photos section. I know there are hundreds of amazing photos that were taken during this tour by Celine's professional photographers but they insist on using the same ones over and over. It would be cool if they had a section like on Mariah's site where you could post your photos with her. Celine has so much humility and devotion to her fans but it doesn't shine through on her site. I would also appreciate a video message or voice message more frequently. It takes one second and she can do it from her cell phone.

They do, but you have to be a member of TC to access it!

I don't think the website is boring. I like it's clear design, I don't like websites that are too busy, without a good reason. For example, one of my favourite websites ever belongs to Cirque du Soleil. It's a bit too busy, but it's a circus, it fits.

As for the info, no official website of an artist has as many stuff as fan-made sites, especially a forum like ours, that's a fact. Of all the major stars out there, and the new stars too, I like Celine's the best.

it is not that boring but it should show more! and apart from that, this design can be renewed now and then. That makes it fresh.

Maybe more video's on it, more pictures, more interviews..but as you all say - the celinedionforum already shows so much, we do not

need the official site that much. although I must say that I sometimes look at the original site too

They also fail to announce many of her Tv apperances, happenings in her life, etc. Most people on the forum there have no idea what's going on, because they rely on that site for everything.

The Team Celine forum was barely active at all until they started the 'fan of the month' stuff. I only go there to read it out of curiosity, I rarely post. I like it here muuuuch better.

I'm not sure about the word "boring", but sure they could be more up to date and faster in giving information. I actually visit the site almost daily, always wishing there was some news about the release date of the dvd. I do like the design of the site and I think it's reliable as well, though "slow". And for someone who doesn't know anything about Céline, I think there are plenty of information, like the biography (to which they should however add some more recent information..) and discography and so on. And I think there are plenty of nice photos and videos as well!

I became a member of this forum last December and like it so much better than Team Celine. Just recently started posting.

When TC started the Fan of the Month contest, members who had never posted previously went crazy, posting hundreds of times in a short period of time. Now it has calmed down a bit. Very few of the regular members doing postings. Mostly new people posting. Too political for me and somewhat insincere. Lacking in "community” atmosphere on the site.

What really upset me was how the previous contests were conducted on the TC website. Too many inconsistencies regarding the “official rules”, which was a task in itself to locate these rules and other issues.

Most of the TC members I keep in contact with are now on this Forum. So glad I am a part of this community.

celinedion.com was the only website i really knew of before chelsey told me about this one. i prefer the forum but i still use the official website for the "what's going on" page. i have it bookmarked so i can go directly to it to read about what's going on in celine's world today. anyone ever feel like a stalker? she's so addicting! on that note... i got the "sur les plaines" dvd in the mail today (even though i don't know french at all)... i looved it! i just wish i knew more french other than "merci". haha.. it was still amazing nonetheless! i think i cried like 3 or 4 times. OH!! and the END!! oh my gosh.. when RC is singing in the car!! sooo freakin' adorable!!!

 

ok, ok, back to the question! i don't think celinedion.com is boring but, it could definitely use a little tune up. and also not keep so many things restricted to teamceline members only. that erks me. in the end, the forum gets my vote!

OMG! Me too. I have that specific page bookmarked, and visit it almost daily, along with the forum.

 

It's at least worth visiting, considering it's the only "official" celine word out there, but we still get some great coverage here on the forum, eh?!

 

I almost pee'd my pants and started a new thread on here today... I typed in her website rather than clicking my bookmark link, and saw a big pink website, with different pictures and music... it was so exciting to think that they changed it, but then i realized what I had done. When I clicked on the correct link, I was taken to the same ol celinedion.com that I've known for too long. LMAO.

Well maybe it could do with some tuning up but in general I think the site's not boring. It contains all the essential info, different sections, everything is elegant and nothing seems out of place (to me). I think it does its job pretty well, maybe it's not as crazy as our dear Celine herself but definitely as stylish as she is I've always liked the website.

OMG, that's beyond drastic. Enough with trying to limit the internet to sugar-coated thinking. There's more to life than kittens, ice cream and rainbows. No, people shouldn't be banned for posting their opinion. That's what this site is for. And yes, her website needs an overhaul. It's long overdue. It's beyond time for a complete change. We're still using the same site that was used during the premier of A New Day... over 6 years old. All they've added is a new splash page image from time to time. It's time to revamp the site and re-theme the entire thing to match Celine's current look. Fresher, more beautiful than ever and really highlighting who she is.

 

To say that her site is the best site on the internet, solely because you're a huge fan is beyond biased. Some of us have actually taken the time to look at sites of other artists and were impressed. Try it sometime. There's a whole world out there. LOL. :kicking: :kicking: :kicking:

and cancer time. The colours were so beautiful. WHY cant it be more colourful?

 

Also, why have so many of the FANTASTIC shows been put into the request section, and taken out of multimedia section.

We always have to look for ages to find some of the little bit older shows such as "Les 500 Choristes" with Johnny Hallyday

and Vivement Dimanche with Il Divo and Marlou etc. Sorry if i seem to be moaning, but i am really struggling to find these full

shows.

 

They are on Italian_Celine_copycat_site, but for some reason, i cant download them. Just cannot get into any of the shows on that site, and there

are so many FANTASTC shows on that site. Why cant we have those FULL shows on THIS forum.

You do realize you can change the skin, it doesn't have to be the TC skin. Look at the bottem of the page, there is a little block which contains the words Taking Chances (in your case). If you click on the arrow you will get a list of other options...

If everyone can donate a dollar or two, we can get better server to host more files instead of moving them offline. If everyone only moan they can't download everything and do nothing else, then you will get less and less download. This is a forum, not only about download after all.

I must say the default skin is one of the best this forum has ever had... it's clean and visually pleasing. But if you're looking for color, there are nine other skins to choose from...

I'm pretty happy with the forum. I think we make the best out of the little money donated!

 

However, TC, although a bit better now, is still not up to par. I much prefer its layout from 1999, when ATW was released. It was much more simple. Now on the first page, between the ad at the top, the links for the boutique, discography, official site, rendez-vous, and TC, I have to stare at the screen for a few minutes before I can remember why I came and where I want to go! Websites like that should be straight forward, while being as simple (and pleasing) as possible.

 

oh, plus all of the music playing! I personally really hate when websites play music, even if it is Celine.
