VintageCeline Posted March 9, 2009 at 07:26 PM Posted March 9, 2009 at 07:26 PM Ooo I like this thread! I am more of a bright colour fan. I love buying vintage bags from charity shops, old jewelry ect. Being a poor student, I can't afford designer - But I look elsewhere. It's all about working with what you've got. I'll post pictures in a bit x Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/94198518f8a09aef1d336d6fde8fc8b3/tumblr_mkdcezs36X1r7lwiso1_400.jpg

CellyDee87 Posted March 12, 2009 at 12:19 AM Posted March 12, 2009 at 12:19 AM (edited) OMG I lurve this thread. I will be sure to post some closet pics when I get back home. To describe my style, would have to be classic, I guess I like timeless pieces nothing too out-there, kind of similar to Charlotte from Sex and the City, or least she is one of my style icons alongside Celine. I have so many jeans and plain tops and tees, but I must admit I am a cardigan freak, I love them and wear them with everything, black, grey, charcoal, beige etc love them. I also love my flowy chiffon tops for going out, and yes I am a shoe nut! Edited March 12, 2009 at 12:23 AM by Denelle Quote
SensationalCeline Posted March 15, 2009 at 01:13 AM Posted March 15, 2009 at 01:13 AM (edited) I really like stuff from Dollhouse. Those are my main heels are Dollhouse. Their stuff is really cute.If you've ever seen Greenlee on All My Children, my style is similar to hers. I like really cute stuff and very grown up things. I love to wear v-neck blouses, (my current obsession is my zebra one and my black polka dot one) dark blue jeans or black courduroys ( spelled wrong) and the shirts with the vests and sometimes scarfs come with them. I'll have to take pictures later. I love Dollhouse heels like I said and i have a lot of shirts from Julia's Closet. They are really cute and girly. I want to get me some boyfriend trousers and some blouses with the ruffles because they are really in right now. Boy Posted March 16, 2009 at 05:26 PM Posted March 16, 2009 at 05:26 PM Well, basically I buy whatever I like. I like bright colours like pink and blue and yellwo but I enjoy being 'man in black as well As for my style... It's glamouros as a matter of fact. Except for when I have to rush to the shop to get some toilet paper or whatever... The celebrity whos style I might be looking up to is... Peter Page to some extent. Maybe. Asctually I'm not crazy about looking like somebody famous. However, I do adore the style of Celine Dion, Sarah Jessica Parker, Sharon Stone & Demi Moore. I believe they are the most fashionanle people out there. Anyway... I spend MUCH on clothes. And even though I buy stuff regardless of the designer I like some labels like St.Oliver, ZARA, Motor and Colin's. But I like second hand things as well... Sometimes you may cross something really fabulous there Anyway... I czn post some pics of what I like to wear here if it's OK Quote Love comes to those who believe it...
ennostiel Posted March 31, 2009 at 10:58 AM Posted March 31, 2009 at 10:58 AM (edited) Ok Frida, I love your closet! And here I go... (pictures will probably be posted later when I come home [i'm studying in Warsaw and only have some of my clothes here] and CLEAN my closet! Frida you keep it all so neat... love it!) • A few keywords to my style would be: elegant but fresh, girlie and not always predictable... nothing extravagant but individual:) • A character/celeb whose style I love is: Celine (oh that Balmain and Louboutins...), Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie; polish: singer Anna Maria Jopek, actress Marta Żmuda Trzebiatowska • In my closet you can find: straight stretch blue jeans, tons of cotton tee's and tops (sorry for copying Frida but that's true), warm&comfy cardigans and sweaters, some turtleneck sweaters, A dresses, A skirts (NO supermini - still working on those thighs:D), a couple of jackets and sweatpants to walk around the house • My COLOURS are: a lot of black, olive green, some dark green, purple, different shades of blue (for the jeans), white/grey/black combinations and a little yellow... I'm currently working on adding more colours especially as those spring/summer '09 trends are so colourful! • My favourite items come from: H&M, Orsay (love them ever since they changed their style and came up with the 'Thank God I'm a Woman' slogan), KappAhl, Zara, C&A • Any 'guilty pleasures'?: Unfortunately no Balmain, YSL, Manolo Blahnik or Louboutins in my closet, but I need to work on that Edited March 31, 2009 at 10:59 AM by ennostiel Quote Ce n'est qu'en te croisantQue j'ai su, j'ai compris... You have KappAhl in Poland?!Yeah, I'm not sure how this happened but apart from the Scandinavian countries Poland is the only country that has KappAhl Well I'm not such a huge fan of them, there are times when I can't seem to find anything decent, but sometimes they can really surprise me And Zara... yeah I love it Quote Ce n'est qu'en te croisantQue j'ai su, j'ai compris... Salla Posted March 31, 2009 at 03:07 PM Posted March 31, 2009 at 03:07 PM We have KappAhl in Finland as well, I hardly ever go there though. All their clothes somehow look the same. I heard that they launched a Vintage line and I was intrigued, but really dissapointed when I saw the clothes, they're exactly the same old stuff they always have just a few little lace details and maybe lighter/pastel colors. Boooring. I think I said I'll post photos of my wardrobe, but yeah, I'm still not done with cleaning it, so no photos. BUT I have this blog in Finnish, which was gonna be my au pair blog, but I haven't found a family yet, so it's just my daily boring life right now. Anyway, I've taken into habit of photographing my outfit of the day (not nearly everyday though), so I guess you can see a bit of my style in there. I'm not really happy with my wardrobe right now. It's missing a lot of things, but I'm working on it. Quote

I think I'm somewhat okay for my height (the BMI thinks diferently though), but it can be completely IMPOSSIBLE in some stores.. Oh my goodness I hope not, she's such a b*tch And I think there's too much focus on theody/sizes.. (that you NEED to be a size 0). A person with extra weight can look SO much better than a skinny person, it all depends on the clothes, and the RIGHT size.. too many girls try to squeeze both halves of their bums into a pair of jeans that will obviously only hold one half, and voila: we have the muffin top effect.. NOT good.. why are so many afraid to get 1 or 2 sizes bigger, and actually look more SLIM? Before I was diagnosed I had lost 30 kilos (in a couple of months, without doing anything) and I thought it was FA-BU-LOUS! "GREAT!! I can finally wear a size XS or S Yahooooo!!". What I didn't see until I was healthier and gained the weight again, was that I was nothing but skin and bones, and it looked HIDEOUS. I never, ever want to loose my curves ever again.. so it really isn't about the size of YOU, deal with the extra number ont he size tag..
