Rodrigo in Brazil Posted May 27, 2005 at 07:51 AM Posted May 27, 2005 at 07:51 AM Does anybody here like Paula Cole?! If you don't know who she is: she's the singer/songwriter/producer of songs like "I Don't Want To Wait (Dawson's Creek's Theme)", "Where Have All The Cowboys Gone?", "I Believe In Love", etc. I happen to be a big fan of hers and I'm a collector of MP3's and MPEG videos. I have every file I was able to find with her. I guess I could say I'm one of the biggest collectors out there. I'd like to know if there are other fans here (altough the probability is not a high one). Let me know if you have any rare file with her, so we can arrange a trade! See Ya!Rodrigo. Koolan Posted May 27, 2005 at 09:17 PM Posted May 27, 2005 at 09:17 PM I got a few songs from Paula. She's pretty good and talented. The first song I've heard from her was I Don't Wanna Wait, still remember how much effort I put in to download that song from those mp3 sites. It took so many days to get it. The first song I've heard from her was I Don't Wanna Wait, still remember how much effort I put in to download that song from those mp3 sites. It took so many days to get it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I fell in love with Paula Cole when I was watching a Dawson's Creek special on a Brazilian channel. They showed little part of the video for IDWTW, it was exactly the part when she sings "When she though it was god calling her". That verse sounded perfect to my ears and I desperatly wanted to hear the entire song. Finally when my 15th birthday came (in 2001), I earned great presents (including this computer I'm using now), but none of them made me as happy as her "This Fire" album, which I earned from my father. I still listen to it every time and my favorite song now is "Me". Excellent! See Ya!Rodrigo. Quote See Ya!Rodrigo.

Prima_Donna1 Posted May 28, 2005 at 05:57 AM Posted May 28, 2005 at 05:57 AM I know who Paula Cole is because I liked her voice, and her songs during the time she came out. But then I got sick of her songs. So!! But she was great never the less. But then I got sick of her songs. So!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well, maybe you should listen to new Paula Cole songs. She has three released albums: Harbinger (1994); This Fire (1996) and Amen (1999). And she's about to release a new one. And there are tons of songs that were released in other artists' albuns.I never get tired of Paula Cole songs. They're so deep. She has different ideas. Have you ever heard the song "Me"? It's one of my favorites! And the video clip for that song is one of the best video clips I've ever watched. I have it on MPEG and it's really rare. Very well done 'though. I love the way the director worked with the colors. Very good! See Ya!Rodrigo. Quote See Ya!Rodrigo.

Not to an extreme level but I love her songs- "Where have all the cowboys gone", "Feeling love", and "I dont wanna wait"...not sure of anymore though. But Paula's songs are so emotional that they never make me think about it. I have many videos with her and I never keep paying attention to that when I'm watching them. She has so many qualities that it's not a problem... (and I'm not saying that just because I'm a fan!) See Ya!Rodrigo. Quote See Ya!Rodrigo.

I think it's her best work yet. I can say that I like all 11 tracks and in love with at least half the album. Until I Met You, In Our Dreams, It's My Life and Lonelytown are very very very good. Rodrigo in Brazil Posted June 23, 2007 at 01:25 AM Author Posted June 23, 2007 at 01:25 AM Courage is amazing! My favorites are El Greco (wow!), Until I Met You and Don't Miss Me (bonus track). This album is much better than I expected, my only criticism is that it's very low key, but Paula's vocals are awesome nonetheless. Quote See Ya!Rodrigo.

firebird Posted June 24, 2007 at 06:48 AM Posted June 24, 2007 at 06:48 AM I listened to her new album, Courage, I like it. She did some great instrumentations for the songs, really nice. She also writes really good lyrics. On some songs the chorus part isn't as worked out as the strophe (cf. Lovelight/I Wanna Kiss You). The good songs on the album: - Lonelytown- 14- It's My Life- In Our Dreams- Until I Met You ----------------------I didn't know she's the one who sang that I Don't Wanna Wait song. I don't like it, but maybe that's because I don't like that Melrose-Place-for-philosophy-students TV show it's associated with. Quote
