Jacqui Posted February 15, 2009 at 03:13 AM Posted February 15, 2009 at 03:13 AM Right now, this minute? Yes. I have a lot of worries about the future, but nothing is certain or permanent in life anyway. I think when I stopped expecting everything to be perfect, I started appreciating things more. So yeah, I'm happy. Are you?? Quote
Linn92 Posted February 15, 2009 at 08:27 AM Posted February 15, 2009 at 08:27 AM Yes, I'm happy! Quote

Black Kitten Posted February 15, 2009 at 02:02 PM Posted February 15, 2009 at 02:02 PM i absolutely am. right now i have nothing to worry about. i'm doing good in school. my mom is coming back next month. my brother is doing great. and so is my dad. my ever loyal friends are still with me. this forum has been a great escape for me in times of problems. there's also my friends here in the forum who really make this forum worth keeping. alright pay no attention to my nonsense. i'm doing good and yes, I AM HAPPY. scorp82 Posted February 15, 2009 at 02:45 PM Posted February 15, 2009 at 02:45 PM Yes, I think I am happy right now! I have many things in my life to be thankful for! I enjoy great health. I also have a very supportive family. Last year I was able to finish graduate school, which was a very important goal in my life. Even though I had a tough time finding a job last year due to the economic situation in the U.S. and after having a somewhat negative work experience in one job that I had, I was able to find a great job and I am very glad to say that I want to remain in this job for the long haul and expand my career there. So labor wise things are going well. I feel that I have been blessed immensely in my life. The difficult situation in the U.S. and what other people are going through are making me realize that in spite of everything, my family and I are doing well and are not lacking anything. So that makes me more appreciative of what I have and more considerate of others. Are there things that I wish were perhaps different? Yes, sure. But as Jacqui said, life is not perfect. I am just content that things are going well! Quote

reamary Posted February 16, 2009 at 08:53 PM Posted February 16, 2009 at 08:53 PM I believe I could be a lot happier. My situation in general is just not exactly how I would want it to be and many things at the moment are just so very uncertain, and not in the right place. I've been having some troubles through the fall, and still have some issues, but of course I want to believe that everything will work out and things will be good again eventually. Still, despite of the troubles, there are of course things that I do enjoy and I do appreciate, so it's not like I'm in a deep depression or something. But to answer shortly to the question, I could be happier! Filine Posted February 17, 2009 at 11:41 AM Posted February 17, 2009 at 11:41 AM (edited) I just had a rough patch, but I think I had the worst...just a severe case of the "Is this IT?" blues. I have been hard on myself, been trying to prove myself...to whom? I really can't remember haha It's a great feeling to be able to cut myself some slack, takes off the pressure a LOT I have a lot to be thankful for! Lymon Posted February 17, 2009 at 02:59 PM Posted February 17, 2009 at 02:59 PM For the most part I am. I know my life isn't perfect, some things could be better, but I know i'm very grateful for some things in my life, because many people have it worse. Sometimes I feel stupid for complaining about something like The Sims 3 not coming out 'til June when I know there are kids out there without even food or water. But yeah, i'm mostly happy. Bralo20 Posted February 18, 2009 at 08:05 PM Posted February 18, 2009 at 08:05 PM (edited) At this moment: yes I'm happy... However I had some though times during the last month and a half. My mother died unexpected on second Christmasday and this was very though for me since it was a complete surprise... We thought she had some muscle pain... However the doctor probably made a wrong diagnose and she died to a heart attack... I helt stronge for weeks until I breaked down a couple of weeks ago. Fortunately I've booked myself a holiday during the last weeks to Montréal including a concert of Céline Dion. This short holiday made me a complete new man, the last day I was in Montréal I went for a walk to the old harbour and had some great time clearing my head and thinking about the good days I had with my mom... It helped me also realise that life is short and that we have to embrace every minute on this planet and spend more time with people who are precious to us... I'm making more time for my father and my uncle, the 2 closest relatives still alive to my... And I love it... Years I was only thinking about work... I was only at home to sleep and eat... Now I'm making time for my relatives... And I like it... In the past I hated holiday, working was the only thing I really liked... For this year I'm taking more time off than in the last 5 years I think... Time goes by and is precious... enjoying life is more then working alone, it's also travelling and so much more... So yes, after some though weeks I'm really happy now... Enjoying life to his fullest. I hope that it will last long Edited February 18, 2009 at 08:07 PM by Bralo20 Quote ...
autumnskies00 Posted February 18, 2009 at 08:53 PM Posted February 18, 2009 at 08:53 PM No, no, no! Leaving Montreal was the hardest thing because I came back to nothing, and a life I can't stand.
