Ce samedi, 21 h, débute la 18e édition du Téléthon Opération Enfant Soleil, animé par Charles Lafortune et Annie Brocoli, en direct du PEPS de l'Université Laval, pour se poursuivre jusqu'à dimanche, 22 h, à TVA.

 

Les artistes qui y participent sont nombreux. Parmi eux on retrouve les noms de Boom Desjardins, Sylvain Cossette, Lara Fabian, Céline Dion, Claude Dubois, Luce Dufault, Corneille, Wilfred et des dizaines d'autres, tous sensibles à la cause des enfants malades. Les prestations seront ponctuées des témoignages de parents et d'enfants qui ont pu bénéficier des avantages de cet événement annuel.

 

La participation de plusieurs personnalités sera mise à contribution pour franchir les 24 heures du téléthon, ce sont Clodine Desrochers, Michel Jasmin, Mitsou, Sophie Prégent, Alain Dumas, entre autres. Depuis la création de cet événement, on aura amassé près de 80 millions $ et on espère que cette année, sous le thème «Ensoleillez la vie d'un enfant», les téléspectateurs seront tout aussi généreux.

Celine To Take Part In A Telethon To Help Sick Children

June 3, 2005

 

Celine will take part in the 18th 'Opération Enfant Soleil' telethon which will take place June 4 and 5. The telethon aims at bringing some 'sunshine' to sick children in Quebec. Celine will be one of the artists taking part in the event to help raise funds to improve the lives of sick children. The telethon will start at 9 p.m. this Saturday and will be broadcast on TVA. I am trying to record this TVA show on my computer and VHS tape for you guys, but this show is about 24 hours long. I live in Toronto and will be travelling to Niagara Falls Sunday June 5, 2005. As a result I will not be able to watch the entire show.

 

Does anyone have any idea when Celine will be on ??? Please post here if you see her appearance and give me the time and date when it happened!!! This will make it infinitely easier for me to find her appearance in my PC recording.

 

If everything works out and my PC does not crash and I get a successful PVR recording, I will get a video MPEG posted on the Infamous Celine Italian site that I have dealt with for 3 years as soon as I can.

 

I will keep you posted here if I manage to pull this off.

As promised my PC in Toronto did record most of TVA's "Telthon Operation Enfant Soliel" June 4 and 5, 2005. It turned out that Celine appeared on Saturday June 4, 2005 between 9:40-9:45 PM EDT. I have encoded the video file and sent it to the Infamous (or Famous depending on how you look at it) website w w w . c e l i n e m a n i a c s . c o m where it will be posted for all to see sometime on Monday June 6, 2005.
