Im Going Thru A Hard Time

Hey everybody,

I feel I need someone to talk too . A few weeks ago it was discovered I have

skin cancer and right now Im going through radiotherapy. I just finished my

first week. Is there anyone here who has had it or going through it? I feel as

though Im only getting bad luck. As my mother died in July 08 of cancer.

Music is really helping me through this dark time and off course my computer.

Is there is someone going through this or know of someone Id love to talk to

you. I dont have many friends that I can talk too about this. I feel as tho I am

alone. Thanks for taking the time to read this Linda.

I've never had that illness but have had many family members that have..Please be strong and I admire your strengh and openess, and I dont even know you... but you seem very nice and I just want to let you know that you need to be in charge of the cancer and not let the cancer be in charge of you. I want to thankyou so much for posting this thread, because what you are saying takes so much strengh and power to talk about.. I admire that

Hi Nmj,

Thank you for that Ive got a long road ahead with this treatment which goes for a month and Im

hoping that it works as the next option is an operation which I really dont want to have. Having

watch my mother go through it I hope mine wont be as bad as she had it. I didnt know whether to post it or not

but I didnt want to hold it in any longer. Im so glad that there are things such as forums where you

can write about things. Thank you for the offer of pming you

No Problem at all! I'm gald that you decided to post it, Like i said that PMING offer will always be on the table and I just hope and pray that the treatment will work and you wont have to do the operation..

Although im not going through a hard time like you,i can feel you.Really.You can be my friend,even if we live far away.It must be the worst time in your life.But now it's the time to prove your real strenght.Kisses :hug:

I am sorry to hear you have to deal with cancer.

I have no idea what its like but I have seen it around me. Its tough I know but stay strong.

Always keep on fighting and never lose hope. You are not alone in this never forget that.

Make sure u surround yourself with things and people that make you feel good. Take good care

of yourself !!

Sorry to hear what you are going through, Ive certainly known people who have went through similar thing. Please be strong and you will get through... As Celine sais "Chose to fight!!" . Rene went through radiotherapy and look at him, he got through, you will too.... I pray and wish you a speedy recovery and post here when ever you want. I cant imagine what you go through , but this will pass and will then be a memory. Youll be ok. Celines music can get one through the toughest of times and situations.

This can make or break you, dont let it break you. Best wishes

Hey,

First of all I want to say that I admire you for being so strong and so open to let us know how you feel... My mother died a couple of weeks ago due a wrong diagnose by our doctor (heartattack, however the doctor told her she had just some muscle pain), she was only 55 and was never ill in her life. I thought that I went through a hard time but reading your message it's nothing like what you are going through now... I can't imagine what your are going through now... Just lost your mother to cancer and now you have it yourself... It must be very very hard to deal with... However, you have to think that you can fight the cancer, not only following medical procedures but also by being strong... A strong mind in a strong body can fight better against any decease, even cancer... You have to think also that skin cancer has a (very) high cure rate those days... But my main advice is to be strong, even when you have a bad day... Be strong, not only for yourself but also for your family, relatives and friends... Never give up or let go...

And yes, music is indeed a nice way to gain strenght, to free your mind or just to drift away from all of it... Since my mother died on 2nd Christmas day i'm listening to music more then ever and it really helps a lot.

I remember Celine said once. You can't decide if you want to have cancer or not. But you can decide how you're going to deal with it. So stay possitive and fight it with all your heart and mind. I recommend you read the book "The Secret" and learn a little bit about the law of attraction

Thank you takeachance..I had a look at it yesterday when I went for my treatment and there is

quite a change only after 8 days. The radiation must be really strong. Day 9 today.

Tomorrow will be my 10th day half way through the treatment course . Today was so hot tho nearly 40.c.

You're doing well, keep up fighting! You can definately make it and you have probably some goals you want...

The temperature, euh, well let's say it's very hot... I can't imagine what it's like since we got only temperatures of a bit more than 30 during a hot summer day...

I stood one in temperatures of +40°C when I visited Death Valley in the US and it was a bit to much. But probably the heat is different in Australia since the climate is also a bit different? But still... It's damn hot

Iv just finished day 10 of treatment :clap: im half way there. On the 1st February Im going to a hospital to recouperate

for a couple of weeks. I will have my laptop with me. Thank you everybody your posts are wonderful it really lifts my

spirits :wub:
