This bothers me. I notice tnat every single review has never acknowledged her sexiness/ body/ legs.

I mean she is wearing a minidress most of the concert. Surely she has never paraded this much sex in concert before.

As Celine fans we all know and have seen her legs in certain performances, But I know for a fact that those critics have never seen her like this , When she makes her entrance she looks really FIT, MUSCULAR and TONED. Its quite a surprise to the casual fan or the person who is dragged along to the show by their girlfreind/ boyfreind etc.. One guy commented that those 'celebrities are givent he best care for their bodies' But i have yet to see one critic comemnt on Celine's obviously GREAT body. I just don't get it, sorry. whats wrong with these people or her new found talent of baton swirling. i bet Madonna or mariah does nothing like that in their show.. :xmas_rolleyes: The best they (the critics) can come up with is she has a good voice , she has a big range etc . :xmas_unsure:

as if... we didnt know that already

Perhaps they are trying to stay "professional" and comment only on Celine's vocals,
stage presence, stage presentation and her ability to connect with the audience/fans. Of course,
her mini dresses, killer heels, long hair and gorgeous legs are part of the package. But maybe they don't comment for a variety of reasons...jealousy, indifference, resentment. Who knows. As much as we would love to have them complimenting her physique, my guess is that reviewers are just being professional and commenting only on what they are there for and what the audience paid for...To hear that voice!!
Also, commenting on Celine's physical attributes opens up a whole other arena which could go very,
very well or very, very bad depending on the critic's personal feelings towards her. Would it be bordering on sexism too? I don't know. Maybe someone on here who follows other female singers concert reviews could make a better comparison. I only follow Celine so I have no idea if its common practice or not.
Don't feel too bad. The one certainty we have is that the hundreds of thousands of people who have attended Celine's concerts surely do NOT need some critic to describe what kind of physical shape she is in! If a picture is worth a thousand words.....THEN CELINES CONCERT PICTURES ARE WORTH A MILLION!!!! :thumbsup2:

I agree with Toni. Maybe they didn't pay much attention, maybe they don't want to pay her a compliment, or maybe they've just seen her wear similar things before and so they don't see any major difference.

I'm a fan of a lot of other female artists, and as far as I can recall, reviews never really focus on the artist's body (otherwise, it would become a tabloid article!) They might make a one line comment, or detail some of the costumes, but that's usually pretty much all.

Which I think is a good thing. After all, it's really about the music and the talent. There's so much fixation on image in society, and it's sad. People forget that these are artists, singer, writers, actors- because they just become "celebrities" who everyone looks at and criticizes, or judges based on reputation. I mean, I totally agree that Celine is so beautiful- but there's so much more to her than just that :)

The one review from San Antonio said she came out looking if I might say "sexy" the author wrote.

Well it was in the review for the Dallas show and the woman said: "After 45 minutes of baby-sitting from manic Vegas celebrity impressionist Gordie Brown, Dion hit the stage, looking, if I'm allowed to say this, nearly sexy"

I must say i'm also surprised that nobody made a comment her body or being in shape... Somebody said, it would become a tabloid...but we saw a lot of critics talking about Madonna's body and how she is muscled etc... in the past. Maybe they will talk about it when Celine turns 50yo. :)

I think they just don't wanna get crap for thinking Celine is hot. The one review said she was nearly sexy, but that's as close as reviewers have come to it. There's nothing to be ashamed of, though, Celine is majorly sexy and has amazing legs.

LOL...I'm sorry, I don't like to talk badly about anyone, but in all honesty Madonna looks kind of scary. She just doesn't look natural. I don't know what's going on with her or why, but I don't find that particularly beautiful. Celine is beautiful though :)

Haha it's funny cause I just read the review of the New Orleans concert and was surprised that there were several comments about her look and outfits, and then I see this topic! The reviewer called Celine "sleek and long-legged" and said she "looked fabulous in the shortest of cocktail dresses paired with the highest of heels." :D

OMG WHAT! why the dismal depressing posts. WHAT! you wouldnt want a reviewer calling Celine SEXY becauseits not PROFESSIONAL. and they dont say these things in reviews? Say wha???? :w00t: :whistling:

are you joking me right now lmao

they say alot more than that in reviews by madonna, beyonce, chritina , britney, mariah and all the rest of them!

and Celine IMO is more sexy or has better legs and toned than they are so why not mention Celine!

cmon get real people :innocent:

Maybe youuu need to get real.

Jacqui and I both posted thoughtful and intelligent responses to the topic heading. Too bad for you that you found them dismal and depressing.

Speaking for myself, I DID mention that I don't follow other female singers, so I was not familiar with critics and their reviews of them. I was just throwing out some possibilities as to why they don't compliment Celine's "sexiness" since we don't yet have the power to read their pathetic minds to figure out so much of their negativity towards her. '

And finally, please tell me WHERE I SAID I DIDN'T WANT critics calling Celine sexy because that wouldn't be PROFESSIONAL? You need to be more careful about your comprehension of other fans' posts before going on the attack and mocking their responses to a topic.

If you are as crazy about Celine as it appears, then maybe you should take a lesson from her regarding respect and kindness towards other fans. And NO I AM NOT JOKING YOU RIGHT NOW.

Umm....we didn't say we don't want them to comment on her "sexiness."

We just tried to offer logical explanations as to why they might not have commented on her appearance.

I'm not a fan of Britney, Madonna, Mariah or Beyonce, so I don't know what people say about them. But I think they're very different types of artists to Celine. You rarely hear comments about how wonderful their vocals are. So maybe critics have to comment on their looks for lack of other things to say.

Well, I don't know if the reviewers are reading this topic :giggle: but 2 recent reviews (Tennessee and Miami) mentioned her sexy legs. Did I miss any? :bye1:
