Xmas Abum?French GH album?rumors?

I've heard so many things about upcoming projects from Celine Dion,but none of them have been confirmed on the official site. I've heard rumors of a new Christmas album, a French greatest hits album with two new inedits, and something about a duet with Josh Groban. These all sound awesome but are they true? Of course there is that maddening issue that involves the release of "A New Day..." DVD. What is Celine really doing this year?

A French GH is definately coming out in the Fall (October) (and Celine will be in Europe/France promoting it)..

David Foster has written 5 X-Mas songs for Celine, so there could be a new X-Mas album coming..maybe this year or next year..

Don't know about that duet..

 

And yeah AND DVD....I think we should just forget about that one, till CelineDion.com surprises us..

Why do I get the feeling that the French GH will be a flop. I just don't see myself going to buy a CD with just 2 new songs and all of her songs that I already got on her French albums. Collector's Series Vol 1 wasn't a big success, and it had more of a commercial potential because of her hiatus and the selection of material. It sold about 3m copies. i don't know..i don't think so. at leat i hope it's gonna be smtg cool, as we are already disappointed in this thing wiht "a new day.." DVD. this would be too much!!

If she recorded 7 new tracks for this collection, like she did with All The Way I'd be enthusiastic about. 2 new tracks sounds like a standard gimmick. Can someone honestly tell me he's a anticipating a release of the same old songs for the sake of a new package and those 2 new tracks? Maybe such release can appeal to people who are new to Céline's music, or don't owe many of her CD's. For us fans, it would be nice to have French GH + 2 new tracks but nothing to be excited about. Any new song on an album is exciting for Celine fans this greatest hits album is long overdue.

I am just feeling that celine does not have enough big French HITS to make a greatest hits album.... i think she'd be better off having a "Best of" album... cos there are tons of great french songs that were never "single-d" and they need to get out there...

 

and 2 new songs? c'mon.... cant she or sony do any better..... seriously it takes take about 7 hours max. to learn and record a new song for her since she has ppl write them for her... something like "all the way" would be smash... i am not French but i'd buy it....

I don't have most of her French hits. I only have D'eux and 1 Fille et 4 Types, and those aren't half of the hits in french. I think this will be awesome to have as a new Céline album. I'm gonna buy it as soon as it hits the music stores. Edited May 22, 2005 at 02:17 AM by 1Celine12

Most of those I don't have. I love Incognito. I have it on my hard drive and I listen to it all the time. They said that there were gonna be 2 extra songs. I do wish they would make it like ATW. Have 9 old ones and 7 new ones so that we can get a taste of the new music that Céline can put out.
