Cheerfuljane Posted January 5, 2009 at 02:19 PM Posted January 5, 2009 at 02:19 PM I don't see much difference between AI and X-Factor I watched the very first "Pop Idols" from the UK way back when William won, last years American Idol, the X-Factor when Leona won and a few episodes of the South African version last year. They all seem the same to me. I like to watch the final 10 purely for the music. The judges are there just for our entertainment and don't do a very good job of it. They have become too predictable so hopefully Kara will liven things up. Quote

I was a major fan of one of the judges, but when that ended, I felt very uncomfortable watching the show.I'm tempted to start watching again, but I hope I won't. Because if I start, I won't want to stop, and this show can take up a lot of time and energy LOL. If Celine's on, I will watch her episodes, though!! Quote

Season 5 had a great top 24. but the wrong person won ...it totally ruined the whole show that season!! it was absurd to see Mandisa being voted off at #9!!! now AI is completely ruined!! they turned this family show into a teen-show ...clearly targeting the teen audience ...lame!!! Everything is of a bigger scale and seems more professional. The X-Factor has become too interested in giving the judges more screen time than the contestants. There were a few really good singers in there I thought it seemed like they only put the bikini girl through though because of the way she was dressed, and that wasn't quite right...I watched about 2 minutes of the second episode, but it just felt wrong so I turned it off.
