I don't get it. They put her on a list of people who cannot sing, then proceed to talk about the way she sings instead of her voice. She has a kickass voice, she CAN sing. Call her weird, call her cheesy, call her annoying, I don't care I will always love her, but don't freaking say she can't sing. Because she can, and anyone who thinks otherwise is seriously on something. Whoever compiled that blog needs to go chop his ears off because he would be better off with no hearing since apparently his is f***** up.

I was seriously SEETHING when I read that. I agree with everything he wrote on the blurb about her but HOW DOES ANY OF THAT prove that she can't sing? sure she oversings and overemotes. but how can he deny her instrument, something so powerful and so versatile that actually sounds like the record, unlike 75 percent of the crap on the radio today

 

what an IDIOT. who OBVIOUSLY knows nothing about singing or music.

 

tons of the comments feature ppl who dont' even like celine but are baffled that she's put on a list of singers who can't sing.

 

in fact of all of the oversinging divas celine is the one who is most likely to dial down the melismas on certain occasions

notice how he mentions that christina gave a restrained performance at the grammys for a change..well did he freaking notice celine's performance that night?! THE EPITOME of restraint.

 

I mean WTF?!! the woman didn't sell records based on her looks or image. that's for sure. how the hell did she sell all those records if it wasn't her voice? what a dumb f***

what also gets me is some of the comments accusing celine of having a diva attitude. throughout her career she's shown herself to be nothing BUT the nicest and most humble/grounded person ever. some ppl may take her over the top-ness to be arrogance or her performance style as well..but there is no solid backing at all for anyone to claim she has a "diva attitude" or big ego. IT MAKES NO SENSE> it's like everyone bought into that snl skit from ana gasteyer and really thought celine said she was the "greatest singah in ze vorld!"

haha true she never said it. but that was, kind off, her attitud during divas 98 "Imma wipe the the floor with you gurlzzz" ROFL...anyway, she's got the chops, no one can deny it.. she does not belong in any worst singers list, and such list will not change anyones opinion. hahahahahahah. Celine, a bad singer! Now please, that's just stupid. This guy is obviously deaf. Anyone with ears knows Celine can sing, even if they aren't a fan. I just have to laugh, because it's not an opinion, it's a fact, that Celine is one of the greatest singers out there. read the comments of that blog (is that a blog or an article?) and notice her closet fans are now slowly coming out of their shells. it's amazing so see how many people are defending Celine. sure Celine isn't for everyone's liking, but no single person has the right to say she can't sing. she can sing, but what separates her from ALL other artists (and i mean ALL SINGERS EVER EXISTED), is that she sings way way way better than any singers, dead or alive. the world is still yet to discover a singer who can beat her. at least in this lifetime. she can outsing and outclass any artist without even trying.

Yeah, when i first saw that on yahoo, i was so disappointed and kept staring at it. But then i started to read some of the comments, and many where defending Celine!! I just couldn't believe it!!! How could ever someone say that Celine can't sing??? That is the biggest lie EVER!! The person who wrote that either is retarted, insane or else just jeleous of her. We all love Celine, and obviously we want to defend her- but I've come to the conclusion that it's not worth it, to let things like this worry you. Don't let it ruin your day, or even a minute of your time.

So whoever wrote the blog doesn't like her. 200 million people do like her, plus there are many more who admit she has talent but her music is just not to their taste. Celine knows she can sing. We know she can sing. The world knows she can sing. If this person has nothing better to do than write this article...well, that's their problem.

I never can understand how someone thinks they have the right to say someone is no good, just because they don't like them. I have to admit that Celine is not to everyone's liking. But I would say to them, ok, if Celine is sooooo rubbish at singing, why don't you have a bash at wrapping your vocal chords around some of her songs!

 

Celine's singing style is a little bit unusual sometimes and I can understand why some people would not necessarily enjoy it, but to say she cannot sing is completely untrue. She would not be working with the best song writers and producers in the world if she had no talent, people simply wouldn't want to work with her. I don't know, people can be really strange sometimes! lol!

I do agree about the comments of her having a good voice but picking the wrong songs. That's true. But on her latest album, many examples of how to use her voice for a good song are given, Skies of LA for example. Or At Seventeen. Christina's Grammy Performance was mentioned as restrained, but was Céline's? No. Anyhow, it's just a blog lol.

i just dont read them anymore - im past caring to be honest. any person in their right might with the smallest taste in music will tell you celine can sing, whether they like her or not. we know this is just rubbish - i dont see the point in getting wound up over it anymore - celine certainly wont be!! happy thoughts!!
