Celine's tix are less than from her Vegas show, I think they tried to keep the prices down as over $300 for ANY artist is just horrible to do to the fans. People go to see madonna's show NOT to hear her sing, they know she'll put on a spectacle of a show - her dancers are usually very good and there's a lot of special effects. Celine had a lot of that on this tour - the main difference though is that she's a kickass singer impressing everyone with her vocals. This is truly a great tour, people are raving about it. I hear NO such talk about the madonna shows & she was recently in NYC but hey if she can get people to pay $300+ a ticket than good for her. NOT ME! Quote ~J O E Y~

Well, certainly those numbers are, indeed, impressive, but they're just that, numbers. Money = quality? Not really. I've seen Madonna and I must say her shows are awesome, visually impressive but that doesn't make her the best perfomer. In fact, I think she's doing more of the same with maybe more screens. All in all, yes her show was a great succes, as Celine's is. I think is idiotic judging a show by how much it grossed or some critic's reviews because afterall everyone has their own opinion and that's really what matters to everyone of us. Finally, about those reviews above, well firstly I've read some very negative reviews from other papers, and secondly those sources quoted aren't from the most recognized reviewers. Quote

Celine gave a breathtaking show these year, and so did Madonna, deal with it. sure i'll pick Celine Dion over any artists today (yes i can burn all my Madonna collection for Celine), but you can't deny the fact that Madonna was already up there making $$$ long before Celine took the world by storm. these negative remarks about Madonna is so pointless. it's as if Madonna hasn't proven her staying power enough. at 50, and being in the bizz for over 25 years and still selling her tix like crazy, it's really "something" not every artists can achieve. she's even bigger than Mariah Carey by the way. don't judge her as if she's just starting. just deal with it. Yes that's great for Madonna and her fans (the really rich ones anyway) but none of those reviews mentioned her vocals and that's what impresses me.
