Edwin Posted December 17, 2008 at 03:06 PM Posted December 17, 2008 at 03:06 PM (edited) I started but I'm at work so I won't be able to finish it til later This is what I have up to :32. "I hope that they get from the film what I got from reading it, was to just look at the painting again, do you know what I mean? To look at the painting more closely. To look at his work more closely.I think I got a good story out of it, a good kind of who-dunnit out of it as well. I think if it doesn't work on a level of entertainment then it doesn't work, because that's what movies do from Buster Keaton to [can't tell]if it's not entertainment then it has failed to the great reader (that part I can't really make out ) Stupid British accent. Brad, Thomas, Stevo help me out here Edited December 17, 2008 at 03:06 PM by Edwin Quote
Krys Posted December 17, 2008 at 03:36 PM Posted December 17, 2008 at 03:36 PM "...Buster Keaton to Peter (something)..." cuz its not a lecture you're giving, not kind of treaties (dunno what the heck this is) um, it has to be entertaining, has to be a bit funny, people gotta laugh, i hope people have been moved by it. i certainly was, reading it you know, think that the stuff he goes through, just as a man as an artist is 3 dimensional, well hopefully believeable such as relateable to for an audience. we dont often see these sort of movies really. not that aren't somehow turned into an extravaganza, a blockbuster. in a way that just doesnt (something bla bla bla) audience that dont ring true or something cuz it a bit too glossy or everyone's teeth's a bit too white or suddenly Rembrant's got a 6 pack or something. i assure you (something) 1 pack, i got a lil bit of a half pack. i hope people get a good kind of movie experience. what Peter does pretty well is bring his artistic taste and his artistic taste, background to films very nicely. and i think what i can bring is whatever i bring so whatever that is, between us and three other actors. through my agent and she told me that it was being made. and i was away filming out of the country that time in Canada and she sent me a script (?) which i read. took me a while to read. it was a fairly dense script but i really liked it and i really liked what Peter brought into his work. so i was interested straight of the back really. i met Peter in London and when i, during the summer and we had a chat about the script and my thoughts about it and his. and he spoke about the lengths about his reasons for doing it and his visions with it. we talked about the characters. that was it and i heard a couple of weeks after that, that i got the part. and we started filming sorta fairly quickly after that. so once i sort of met him, i've had a sort of speedy process to what we got started. oh god i can barely understand them Quote
