Her Cohen's cover is pretty much spot on.

 

I wouldn't think I'd complement an X-factor participant as much. She's better than Leona, she has a style and an edge and a tremendously vivant voice.

I don't think she is 'better' than Leona.......I personally think they are just as good as each other

 

BUT Alexandra has a much bigger personality than Leona (although I think she is a bit over dramatic!)

 

She's going to be just as big as Leona I thinks ^_^

I'm a big Alexandra fan, but even I have to admit that Beyonce won it for her! :laugh:

 

Also, does anyone else think that Simon/the producers were thinking too far ahead when they picked the winner's song? It would have undoubtedly suited Diana more than any of the finalists. I'm glad Diana didn't win though, she annoyed the hell out of me!

I totally love her!! I dont think she is better than Leona - they are completely different and cant be compared which i think many people will fall into the trap of doing. her duet with beyonce brought tears to my eyes but i dont think that purely won it for her - a combination of that and her first performance of Hallelujah definitely did - i was blown away - i wish her the best of luck - she deserves so much success and i will be supporting her all the way - im definitely a big fan!!

I like lighter voices so I prefer leona (although it took me awhile to like leona even)

 

and I dont think shell be as big as leona. it's not every year you get that same kind of launch/promo and reception. that's only once in awhile.

There's one big difference between Alexandra and Leona to me ...with Alexandra I don't have to look at the lyrics to know what she's actually singing!

i'm glad Alexandra won, she was by far the best singer this year! Personally i think her voice is much better and grittier compared to Leona's voice. Hopefully they'll get her the right material for her debut album to suit that voice of hers.

She's incredible, she was the clear winner this year. And it was just on the news that her single is the fastest selling download EVER. Pretty amazing! I think with the right songs she will be as big as Leona, definitely.

I love her voice! I am glad she won.

 

It is obvious, coming from the X Factor too, Leona and Alexandra are going to be compared to one and other but, they really shouldn't be.

 

I think Leona has an incredible voice, effortless, and Alexandra has a really soulful voice - equally as good.

 

The right person deffinalty won

dian awould ahve sounded ridicuous singing that song! haha alex isn't better than leona - beyonce totally wooped her #ss in that song! shes good but for me i just dont really think theres anything extra ordinary about her voice - just same old really and she tends to scream out notes almost shouting them instead of singing them.

It's a strong first single, and an appropriate song for this years Christmas number 1 but Alexandra is going to have to work very hard to shake off the inevitable comparisons with Leona that will dog the first few years of her career.

 

No doubt she'll take a year out to prepare her first album after this single but when she returns it's important that she has her own sound and style as although being compared to Leona isn't a bad thing, really Leona is world class and Alexandra isn't showing signs she's capable of that. Yet.

Yes she is WAY better than Leona. Better personality, better stage presence, versatile in songs and most important her tremolois fast and not as slow as.

 

I love her rendition of Haleluja, but it's clear X Factor thought Diana would make it to the finals so she could sing that song lol.

 

And yeah I loved Beyonce since.. ages. She was spot on!

I love Alexandra.I was rooting for her right from the start. :D

Why do we have to compare her to Leona just because they are both x factor winners? :hmm:

I love both singers equally.

 

Also i remember Diana did this song for her audition so i suppose they could have had plans that it may be her winning,sorry to say im glad Diana didnt win though.

Love her! My favorite X Factor winner ever. I LOVE Overcome, her debut album. My favorite songs are Good Night Good Morning, All Night Long, Broken Heels, and You Broke My Heart. The first single from the re-release/US release of Overcome, Start Without You, has been out and I love it! It has a nice summery vibe.

Alexandra is great i loved her on the X-factor and i always felt she

would win that year.

The duet with Beyonce was extreme' classic and great'

But Beyonce has more power in her voice but i loved them singin

together.

 

Leona has lighter voice than Alex who is somewhere

between Contraalto like Toni Braxton to dramatic soprano.
