Shamrock_1982 Posted December 10, 2008 at 09:17 PM Posted December 10, 2008 at 09:17 PM (edited) Hey Guys I have been given another amazing opportunity to interview someone whos worked with Celine recently.... Mr Dave Stewart!!! I can put 10 questions to him, and this time I though I'd give you guys a chance to get involved.I have thought of 3 questions already ( which I won't share right now ) so if everyone who wants to take part can post (one question only) asap on this topic please.... So have a good think and keep it professional, as it were please It can be about his own career, or about working with Celine.....All answers will be vetted and the best chosen to make up the final 10, and they will be put to the man himself! And unfortunatley I need everyones questions by this friday evening, lol, so they can be vetted and the best chosen to go ahead with this. Thanks! Darren. Thomas Posted December 10, 2008 at 09:24 PM Posted December 10, 2008 at 09:24 PM Cool! I don't think it should be a question but as an Annie Lennox fan I always wondered why he recycled some lines from Eurythmic's Here Comes The Rain Again when he wrote Taking Chances ("talk to me like lovers do, walk with me like lovers do..."). Has anyone here ever heard him talk about this? Quote
Your_Su_Phu Posted December 10, 2008 at 09:31 PM Posted December 10, 2008 at 09:31 PM ugh I don't have a question but I wonder is this interview supposed to be a celine-phobic interview, for the forum exclusively right? I always got the impression that he was one of those producers who simply worked for celine for the money cos she's not edgy/cool enough for him? I might be wrong.. I remember reading some article about him mentioning how weird it was to meet/work with celine during a concert awhile back hahaha Quote
Davey84 Posted December 10, 2008 at 09:36 PM Posted December 10, 2008 at 09:36 PM (edited) So cool!! Oke I have 2 LOL 1 What does he think about/ How did he reacted when he heard that his song would be the Title song of the new English Album?2 Who's idea was it for him to make a cameo in the TC video? stevethefan Posted December 10, 2008 at 10:33 PM Posted December 10, 2008 at 10:33 PM This is non-Celine related question but I saw Dave in a George Harrison EPK video from around 2000 or 2001 and I was wondering what his relationship was with the late former Beatle? Did he produce any of his songs? Quote
takeachance Posted December 10, 2008 at 10:59 PM Posted December 10, 2008 at 10:59 PM Cool! Has anyone here ever heard him talk about this? I totally caught onto that as well the first time I heard taking chances, now it is very interesting to learn he wrote both songs, so silly to of used the same lines!!!!! smw Posted December 10, 2008 at 11:07 PM Posted December 10, 2008 at 11:07 PM This is unbelievable. Dave Stewart is brilliant. I have been a Eurythmics/Annie Lennox fan for years. I would ask something along the lines of - "When you work with other singers - do you ever relate them to Annie?" And "Do you ever talk about the amazing work of the Eurythmics with artists you work with today?" Quote

Has anyone here ever heard him talk about this? This would be my question also Quote
idroveallnight Posted December 10, 2008 at 11:41 PM Posted December 10, 2008 at 11:41 PM Why do you think Taking Chances was not nominated for any Grammys? How does he feel to be one of the people responsible for Celine's "new" direction? Does he know how much the fans enjoy the song...what are his thoughts about this massive world tour being named after his creation? Has he gotten more recognition and work since giving this song to Celine? Quote

sazzlepop123 Posted December 12, 2008 at 12:38 AM Posted December 12, 2008 at 12:38 AM I'd love to hear Celine sing a Eurhythmic's song.... or even a duet with Annie like: 'Sister's are doin' it'. meanttofly Posted February 13, 2009 at 09:04 PM Posted February 13, 2009 at 09:04 PM Oh Darren you´re deffinitely spoiling us:-The question about the line from "Here Comes The Rain Again" has to be there. -What song written by him he would offer Celine for her to record?-Having worked with such talented women? Who´s his favorite female singer and why?-Why hasn´t Platynum Weird released a CD and only released songs digitally? Quote
